Nice site with reasonably large pitches compared to some. Great location for visiting Salamanca which is a must. We rode bikes along dedicated cycle paths which follows the river for a good part. The on site restaurant is excellent but you do need to book as it is also used by the locals. We ate both nights of our stay and very pleased on both occasions. Would recommend the paella but you need to pre book this. We would definitely stay here again.
A pleasant welcome and \' choose your own pitch\' made for a good start here. It is well placed for visiting Salamanca. We used the bus service which runs half hourly well into the evening. It\'s a pleasant 15 minute walk, mainly by the river to get the bus which drops you right in the centre. Pitches are of a decent size and many have plenty of shade. The washrooms are modern and clean and the motorhome dump is easy to access. We didn\'t eat in the restaurant as we spent most of our time exploring the city which is excellent. We\'d recommend a visit to the University which was fascinating.
We stayed overnight on journey south. We planned to stay longer but weather front meant that temperature dropped by 10 degrees (snow around us) and did not lend to an amble around Salamanca. We liked the campsite and the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were excellent. We will return for a visit to this city another time.
Very nice campsite. lovely on site bar/restaurant open in Oct. lovely pitches. showers a little tight for space but wouldn\'t put us off coming back. an excellent base to see Salamanca. Bus near campsite.
Convenient site for visiting Salamanca. Shaded pitches with hedge surrounds. Good wash facilities and restaurant/ bar. Busy when we visited in October.
Pleasant campsite around 8km to Salamanca, by bus, riverside foot/cycle path ( although cycle path very narrow, bumpy and close to the river, so far better to take the minor road when the path becomes narrow and pick up the cycle Greenway at the town boundary). Good, refurbished sanitary facilities, although toilet cleaning could be improved. Staff very helpful ( English spoken), good pool (unheated) and paddling pool. Close to river, and nearby river beach. Busy restaurant (although we didn\'t eat there) and reasonable mini market.
I have no idea why the previous reviews have been so negative. We have had a wonderful experience at this site. The staff are so friendly, the food has been some of the best I’ve ever had and the location is perfect. 6 km walk in to Salamanca, a beautiful town, full of history and culture. Spacious plots, very clean toilet facilities. Would highly recommend.
Great little site with a very friendly and relaxed feel, ideal for visiting the beautiful city of Salamanca. Excellent and lively bar/restaurant, very good sanitary facilities and a very pleasant small outdoor pool. Good pitches, flat, hedges around, shaded in the main, though some units may struggle with their medium sizing. You can cycle ‘off-road’ to Salamanca which is about 4 miles along the river.
A pleasant site, always busy, good toilet facilities. Didn\'t try restaurant but was very busy with locals at the weekend, shop very basic. Good size hedged pitch but too shaded as the weather was not that warm. The wifi, free, was useless. Never saw the swimming pool.
great campsite, close to Salamanca. plenty of hot water in showers and sink taps, new toilet block (with toilet seats, paper and soap!). good pitch sizes. bar and restaurant gets busy at night and appears to be used by locals also.
