Our second visit to this site. It is very conveniently situated if travelling South from either Santander or Bilbao. The good thing about the site is it\'s location within the Fuentes Blancas park which provides a lovely walk into Burgos, about 20 mins on foot. Burgos is a great city to visit and the Pinxos are very good. We ate in the campsite restaurant one evening. It was reasonable value but basic food. We had paella, which was generous and well cooked, then I had chicken and my husband lomo (ham) good sized portions but only served with chips. A bottle of wine and bread was included and coffee. The pitches are not well marked out and it was cramped and crowded even out of season. There are not enough water points, we only found one and we weren\'t sure it was potable water. The showers are clean with plenty of hot water. The pool was closed when we were there.
Very convenient for the town, pitches are adequate size and level, although the well worn grass could be a bit of a mud bath in the rain
Showers showing signs of age but clean and plenty of hot water
Washing facilities very good
Nice open feel and very friendly, helpful staff
Friendly and helpful reception. Lovely walk along river to the outskirts of Burgos took us 45mins, probably about another 45 mins. to cathedral.
Mercadona is 2kms. Site can get very busy but ideal for a couple of nights.
This site is Ideal for an overnight stop Free wifi which worked well across the site. Quiet apart from locals in the bar.
Large site with grass pitches, only one chemical disposal point, and one water point at the rear of the toilet block. Wi-Fi is rubbish. Electric is only 6A, only just adequate. On the plus side, it\'s close to town and the bus stops outside the gates and the cycle route from the camp to the town centre is excellent so the cathedral is easy to reach.
We stopped on the way south, very easy site to find I think this would be a lovely site in the summer, as we were there in January-7 we didn\'t see it at its best. The toilet block was heated plenty hot water for a shower. The restaurant was being done up so can\'t say how good it is.
Would use again no problem.
Handy for a stop over.
An excellent site, if you can find it, as TomTom satnav cannot! Off the auto via head towards Burgos centre and pick up the campsite signs as you cross the river. On turning right having crossed the bridge, at the bottom of the hill turn left at the roundabout and thereafter the campsite is signed. An excellent site, with generous, well shade pitches although not marked. Facilities were good and well maintained. Located close to a river, with an artificial beach, there is an excellent cycle and walking path to Burgos centre. There is a lively cafe at the entrance and a shop stocking essentials. We only stayed one night but will return to visit Burgos and can highly recommend this site.
Perfect site for visiting Burgos an easy bike ride along cycle path. Pitches quite close together but plenty of room late May. Toilet facilities a little tired but good hot water for showers.
Good size flat grass pitches, pitches can have standing water in wet weather, well maintained toilets and showers. Campsite walking distance from Burgos, good walks alongside the river on hard paths. Nearest supermarket in Burgos. Ideal first stop from Santander.
We found the site to be very busy but suspect this was due to issues with the ferries. The toilet block was large and spotlessly clean. We were unable to find an available electricity socket despite having two lengths of cable. Café at the entrance to the site was very well used.
