Stopped for a couple days en route home. Lovely campsite, only one toilet block open (which was clearly pointed out on check in), due to time of year, but nice and clean, heated and good hot showers. Didn\'t use restaurant/snack bar, but looked popular and nice smells coming from it when we passed. Helpful staff at reception. This city must have some of the best cycle routes around, direct to city and many others, plus plenty of walking for dogs which is important for us. Would definitely return again.

Stopped at this site on the way back from Southern Spain to Santander. Sat nav took us straight to the door using coordinates. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke good English. We were going to use our ACSI card but as we didn\'t have the 2020 card they charged us their rate. The pitches were fine, some had been churned up a but there was plenty of choice. When we arrived there were very few van on site, but the following night it was nearly full. We pitched up and connected to what was a old concrete EHU point. We had a problem with this EHU as it was an old unit and wasn\'t earthed properly. When our dog put his paw on the metal step he received a bit of a jolt! We informed reception, and they apologised saying they would investigate it. We plugged into the newer stainless steel EHU and had no problems at all.

There are four toilet blocks, only one being open as it was January. It was very clean and warm with plenty of hot water and the showers were extremely powerful. The only fresh and waste water points we could find were behind the toilet block, as was the chemical disposal unit. We used the laundry facilities which were quite reasonable and very efficient.

We needed to get the tapeworm treatment necessary to return to the UK with our dog. The receptionist gave us the number of a local vet (Clinic Gamonal). We walked down on the afternoon to book our dog in for the next day. It was easy to find following Google maps, and easy to walk there from the campsite. They were extremely friendly and one vet spoke English. The charge was 15 euros, which is much less than visiting a vet nearer to Santander.

There are lovely dog walks to be found just outside the site, and some parts where you can let your dog off the lead.

Burgos itself is a fairy large City, and we walked through part of the City centre. We had intended to walk to the Cathedral which is by all accounts very impressive, but ran out of time as we had the appt with the vet. It is, however, a very good reason to return to complete our tour around. The City is very clean with lovely statues and buildings. We hope to return later this year and stay for a few days this time.

Good stopover on our way south in Oct and back late Dec Toilet block 3 heated, hot showers but getting a bit tired. quiet at night and surrounded by park with walking and cycling paths used by lots locals. They keep the bar and restaurant open and buzzing at times. Restaurant good basic food with fish on menu. We walked into town but along way. Should have cycled or took bus.

Ideal for a stop on the winter route South
SATNAV coordinates took us through the village of Cortez and across country to the Fuentes Blancas park past the monastery so take care.
Grass pitches so ground was wet but still firm enough despite the rain. Burgos city centre is a god flat walk away
Bar open on site

Not a great site, appearance shabby, swimming pool very green looking, reception area very uninviting, very expensive. Toilet and shower block old and not particularly clean.

Large, flat site, but no hedges between pitches. Everyone was crammed together like sardines.
The wifi didn’t work at all, even by reception. When challenged, the staff confirmed the wifi was always this bad.
The showers were powerful and hot and with normal controls, not push-button. They were the best bit about the campsite if you’re happy to ignore the cracked tiles and mouldy ceiling.
A fifteen minute walk to the outskirts of Burgos along the riverside, which was very pleasant.
The campsite had a restaurant, which was full of locals as it was the weekend. The bar was similarly popular and very reasonably priced.
Would we return? No.

Convenient stopover site within easy drive of Santander & Bilbao. Have been coming here for several years & the toilet block has never altered so could do with some tlc., however, there was plenty of hot water for showers & washing up. Pitches are level & easily accessible. There is a Mercadona & garage 5 minutes away.

Very poor site. People say the sanitary facilities are tired. Too few as only one block open. Tepid water and not very clean. The pitches are poorly laid out and not repaired with big mud holes in them. The only way they get away with this is its proximity to Burgos.

La piscina esta cerrada en temporada baja y no puedo valorarla

The site was 80% full and yet a whole toilet block was closed off. Pitches very scruffy. Good bar/restaurant. Good WiFi. Easy cycle to town.
