Lovely location with great views of the mountains. Some nice walks from the site and within a short drive. Potes is very near and easy to walk or cycle but the return is uphill and a strain if its hot (40 deg when we were there!) The site is well kept and clean, hot showers (mind the slippery floors) and the staff helpful. We didn\'t particularly rate the food but it was busy and we had to go for takeaway so expensive really. Pool large and refreshing when it\'s hot..swim caps a pre requisite!
Plan any visit to Fuente De carefully...ticket sales and queues chaotic and best to book in advance.
Generally recommended. Our view is that the terraced pitches are quite cramped especially higher up...we struggled for space with a VW T6 and small awning and were wedged on. Lower pitches larger but taken by a large Dutch group who probably knew this!

fabulous site. amazing views. perfect for local town Potes. brilliant staff. highly recommend. pool was not in use. facilities a little cold! great for getting to cares gorge to do the stunning walk. food and drink very good. menu of the day excellent value. we loved it here

What a simply delightful campsite. Excellent location, lovely friendly and helpful staff. Shower block spotlessly clean, and maintained in that state all day. The showers have taps not push buttons and there is plenty of hot water. The restaurant, though offering a basic choice, is excellent value, they do a local dish that\'s for 2 people, it\'s gorgeous!
The town of Potes isn\'t huge, and there\'s jot a lot there, but there are 2 supermarkets. The walk back to the site IS uphill, so if you want much shopping take the car. There is a small shop on site.
A couple of points re logistics. The only fresh water supply points are one hose at the MH service point which is right at the very bottom of the site, so fill up before going to your pitch. There are 2 more taps (oval push button type that you can only get a watering can under) outside the shower block, but that\'s it! Grey waste is only at the MH service point. Black waste at the toilet block. To be fair the vast majority of visitors to this site are motorhomes or camper vans, and the pitch sizes reflect that, the site was pretty full while we were there, with very few caravans indeed. There is a reason for this. The road to Potes from the coast is narrow and twisty, so probably not for the nervous towers (my rig is just over 12m total length, and I managed OK, but if the road is busy it would be a time consuming journey in either direction slowing down for oncoming vehicles, but coaches travel it. and its certainly worth the effort!
If you approach the site from the SW along the N625/621 and are towing a caravan then the road is, to say the very least \"challenging\" ! Its fine until the last 10 - 12 miles, it then gets very narrow, very twisty, and its downhill all the way. There are very few places to pull in to let your caravan brakes cool down, so if you see one stop as your caravan brakes WILL get very hot even if using engine braking to the full.
The N627/184 route (from the SE or Burgos direction)really should not be attempted if towing! In places its very rough and unsurfaced, and in others again very narrow and twisty (and steep) If in a MH or camper make sure everything is well stowed, if not you will find everything has fallen out of the cupboards!! but the views along it are awesome!!! (I drove it just with the car after we were pitched up)
Do be sure to \"do\" the Fuente De cable car, just be aware it can get very busy, and there are just 2 cable cars that take a max of 20 people at a time the journey time is 4 minutes in each direction.
Apparently, in the height of the season, you can queue for an hour plus in each direction (arrive early before the coaches!)
But the campsite itself really is in a superb location with fabulous views of the Picos from the higher pitches. We wouldn\'t hesitate to return.

One of the best campsites we have stayed at. Reasonable sized pitches across several terraces with great views across to the Picos mountains. The shower, toilet & washing up facilities were excellent, well thought out & kept immaculately clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. 20 minute walk down into Potes (30 back due to the hill). Food was very simple and reasonably priced. Swimming pool wasn’t open when we visited in late April. Some
pitches slope a bit - blocks recommended for campervans.

We stayed for 3 nights over Easter and loved the site and the area, staff are friendly and helpful .Nice walk to the lovely Potes and plenty of places to see around the area. Highly recommend.

Picturesque site surrounded by mountains about a mile or so from the small town of Potes, where there are a couple of supermarkets and a range of smaller shops, bars and restaurants. Down hill on the way there, but a bit of puff required coming back! Nice bar and restaurant which was popular with campers and very good value. Small shop sold most basic necessities. Sanitaries beyond fault. Pool was being cleaned at the time of our visit but looked as though it was going to be pretty good.

Site located inside the natural park of Los Picos de Europa, and near Potes. This little town is stunning, as the surroundings and trails for all levels in the area. People at the campground were welcoming, parcels are little but perfect still for a family with caravan, we were happy to have a mover to settle however. Pretty busy in high season, very little shop, they sell bread on the site, and you can see the beautiful surrounding mountains from your chair or while swimming in the pool. Amenities were basic but clean. I recommend 100%.
