Obviously rather noisy as right on main highway but not too bad if manage to get a pitch further away from road. Ground particularly hard for tent pegs.
Quite a few well established residential sites and noisy family get togethers till very late in night.
Good location to explore Marbella and other local areas although because on highway car trips often required driving quite a way in wrong direction to do a U turn!
Not our favourite campsite but best of a limited choice in that area
Very nice camp, extremly friedly staff, wide clean polls (2) with natural grass around, dogs are welcome, toilet facilities new and clean all the time. 5km to city centre, bus station nearby.
Friendly staff on reception and in bar/cafe.
Nice bar/cafe/pool area, although limited fare. Wifi here is free but slow. You can buy into the camp-wide wifi but it's expensive and even slower!
2 brand new toilet blocks are nice.
Site is let down by the large number of permanent residents. In parts it resembles a shanty town. They all erect fences, extend their van/hut ridiculously, seem to be very insular and have a daily 'barking dog' competition among themselves.
Handy bus service to the Costa del Sol hotspots and 'Little Britain' developments.
All in all, okay for a stop over or a few days.
We were very disappointed with the sizes of the pitches. No privacy at all. Shower heads calcified but large cubicles. Parts of the site looks like a shanty town. It's a fifteen minute walk to the beach, slightly uphill coming back to site. Wi fi is hit n miss. We will not return.
Espaço calmo e tranquilo; bons Wcs; espaço duche grande; limpeza de WC´s muito bom;
Called in for a low season long term pitch. I would hope that as it was in the book that it would be OK. It does NOT deserve it's rating. It is terrible. Should have a special category of gypsy site. Permanent pitches take up seasonal ones making it almost impossible to locate a descent pitch. Scruffy, untidy, with facilities that JUST pass the mark. Disappointed to find it this guide at all. Go past it if you want decent pitches and facilities.
There was a good welcome here. Pitches are varied but some are pretty decent. Toilet facilities are ok mostly and decent hot water in showers. The real issue here is the dual carriageway along the coast at the site entrance. Noise was not really a problem but the traffic on it varied from busy to exceptionally busy. Both for getting units in and out & simply walking along it we might have some reservations about staying again but if you can live with that the site is basically ok.
Convenient for Marbella but very poor quality site. All the level pitches are taken by local family encampments plus others appear to be randomly taped which is convenient for the locals as it provides them with parking places for their cars. As a result nomads such as us are stuck with rough uneven and small pitches. Free but poor quality wifi at the bar. Convenient bus service to Marbella or Fungerella just out side.
Straight off the busy dual carriageway up to site entrance. Site is terraced and some of the junctions on the site are steep, so walking site first is critical to plan access to pitch. The pitches are roughly marked without hedges, or any barriers. Our 9m unit overlapped into the next pitch but this didn't cause any issues when other motorhomes came to pitch up. Numerous water points around and able to connect a hose to them. Many units long stay over winter but still plenty of pitches to choose from. Supermarket, bars and restaurants a walk away. Road noise not an issue.
We found the site really friendly and the bar had free WiFi.
Toilet facilities are good and one of the blocks has recently been modernized to a very good standard.
Have stayed on this campsite on permanent spot for two years on my caravan. Have sold it now do have a motorhome which we still use this campsite, find it very friendly clean sites nice restaurant and great spanish food or other. Would recomend this site even for wintering. loads of different nationals living there. Close walk to the beach although has two pools one for the children and other for the adults.
