This is the worst campsite I have stayed at in Spain. In the week I have been here the electric supply has been inconsistent. I have not had the 10 amp supply which is supposed to come with each pitch. I have been forced to switch to gas to run appliances. This has been a problem every day so far. The electricity has been cut off on at least two occasions. Water supply has been inconsistent with water also not being available on at least two occasions. There has also been a lack of hot water.
Today there was no hot water for a morning shower. There was no water at all this afternoon and there was no electricity around the same time. I might as well be wild camping. The other major problem with this campsite is the WiFi. There is a very poor signal and I am unable to receive or send emails. Although it it is a very poor service it is the most expensive I have ever used.
When I approached the campsite staff to report these problems they didn't seem too concerned and never made a note of the location of the problems.
It seems that this campsite doesn't have the facilities necessary to support the number of campers.
This has to be one of the best campsites, on the Costa Del Sol.
Sited halfway between Marbella and Fuengirola, in a Pine wood and just 10 minutes walk, from a great beach.
The site bar has some of the best Italian food in Spain, and there are bars and restaurants in the the nearby Port of Cabopino.
There is a regular Bus service to Marbella and Fuengirola, just outside the gates.
Many of the pitches have been leveled, and there are now more water and Electric points.
All this at ACSI prices out of season.
Camping Cabopino is a lovely site in beautiful surroundings just a 10 minute walk from from a nice beach and puerto cabopino with all it's nice bars and restaurants. The site itself is well maintained and everything feels clean and fresh, the bar and restaurant are not open on mondays but the indian restaurant adjacent to the site and the italian restaurant on site are open. We stayed for three weeks in september and will certainly return next year.
Arrived with another couple and in order for us to be pitched close to each other were allocated transit pitches. Extremely shaded and while the rest of the site was bathed in sunshine we were in shade and markedly cooler, so much so that we had to run our heating in the caravan, even in the daytime. Also the trees dripped sticky sap over the car, caravan and awning. Overall the site is well maintained and there was a lot of planting going on during our stay. Water points and electric points are not all within easy reach of some pitches although there is a map at the entrance showing the locations. Some pitches are extremely small and some had obstructions in them such as large tree roots. We would return again providing we could have a sunny pitch. The beach is within easy walking distance and is great for dogs. Our dog loved it!
Access to the site is easy just off the A7 although manoeuvring around the site is tight in places. A motor mover is a must for large units.
This is a large site located between Fuengirola and Marbella. Indoor heated pool, bar and pub grub, Indian and Italian restaurant. Harbour is a walk away with more restaurants. Beach is across the road. Bus stop outside in both directions. Train from Fuengirola to Malaga. Public transport is cheap and reliable. Site has quite a few long termers/regulars can be cliquish (the type - I've been coming here for 8 years, same spot!. Facilities are good although had to wait for a free shower on the odd occasion - for getting around Costa del Sol ideal.
The campsite & reception area is very well run, The on site bar provides excellent food BUT they pick & choose when they serve food, The opening hours for this facility vary without notice. We experienced this on 3 occasions and despite complaining in writing to both the bar manager & site manager, we did not receive any acknowledgement.
We have visited 3 times, and found the staff very friendly and efficient, the swimming pools are excellent, and the facilities for the children very good, the restaurants cater for all tastes.
A large commercial site located just off the very busy N340/A7 from which there is some noise. Easy and cheap access to Marbella and Fuengirola on the bus which stops 100 m from the entrance. The on-site bar/restaurant was very good and reasonably priced, although the Indian and Italian located nearby were considerably more expensive. Supermarkets are about 1 km in the Malaga direction.
When I phoned to ask if I could come tomorrow with my caravan for about 3 weeks they said yes. When we arrived we found that that there were bulldozers and JCB's working from 8 am till 7 pm each weekday. A number of people left due to the noise and disruption (about 50 pitches were being renovated). We left because of this noise having tried to tolerate it for a bit too long.
Large campsite with a small campsite feel. Lots of shade and a short walk to a good beach and other bars, cafes etc. Meals in the onsite bar were excellent, though the Italian restaurant looked expensive. Mixture of permanent/static and non permanent pitches. Quite close to the VERY busy A7 which can really be heard at night. Also could do with a few more electrical hook up points within the pitches or bring a long cable!
Overall we enjoyed our stay and started to get used to the noise of the road. We were in a tent so heard it more than perhaps in a caravan. Would definitely come back to this site if visiting the area again. Central for the main towns.
