A very big campsite with many large semi permanent set ups. The showers and toilets were very clean with plentiful hot water. Nice pool, but because of the size of the site it was a choice of near the pool or near the services, you couldn’t do both! Friendly reception and small shop. Free Wi-fi for ACSI. Short walk across the dunes to the beach. Pitches were not marked out and it was a bit of a free for all.
Happy with this site. Very friendly and helpful welcome. Facilities clean and adequate. Easy access to local town on foot, by bike or by car. Lovely beach. Pool really nice. Play area for children. Little shop on site was useful. More food shops in local town. We would have stayed longer than 2 nights if we had time.
Stayed for five nights. Shower block we used was one of the best we’ve seen since starting our touring in July 17. Water pressure and temperature superb any time of day. Staff nothing other than pleasant. Pitches are sand and vary in size and shape. Isla Cristina didn’t impress us much, but Islantinna beaches and bars to the east of the site are nice. We liked it here despite negative reviews we’ve read.
All points covered in previous posts, we visited the site on route to Portugal, two very wet days so probable didn’t see site at its best, probably wouldn’t return to this site in wet weather conditions.
We planned to stay a few nights but stayed 1. Off season this site is set up for overwintering. Pitches poorly marked with no privacy. Every corner of occupied pitches (and more) had been taken over by long term stayers. The majority of the site was taken by permanent caravans which resembled a shanty town. It\'s a huge site which could have been managed so much better. Whilst the staff were helpful, we were told to drive around to look for a pitch. It was like driving round a shopping mall a week before Christmas! There was one pitch available for our small camper, something the staff should have been aware of as they have everyone\'s details on computer and required every person to carry an id pass that they printed out. We were very disappointed and the higgledy piggledy set up of pitches felt intimidating. Showers hot but facilities very dated. Pool closed when we were there. Many stray cats hanging around outfits were a nuisance. One positive was that it was quiet after 9pm. We wouldn\'t recommend this site.
We used this campsite as a two day stopover to do the washing etc. As had been on aires with no facilities for 8 days. Excellent campsite for a couple of days relaxing and cleaning the van. Onsite car wash , close to beach and cycle track to town. Reception staff excellent
We stayed three nights at the end of September. Pitches under pines some shade or can choose sun. No division between pitches. Fabulous golden sand beach 5 minutes walk over the road and through pines. Chiringuita's spread along the beaches. Good Mercadona supermarket a few minutes drive in Isla Cristina. Town is nothing special.
Chaotic site, no guidance to pitches. Nearly all statics have claimed the best pitches. Tap so far away unable to fill our tank despite long hosepipe
Would not return
We used this campsite as a rest stop for a couple of days, you can choose your pitch either under the trees or in a sunny open spot. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of hot water, I think maybe the bathrooms could have done with a little updating, but good enough. Staff friendly and helpful. Beach across the road and we cycled through the pine forest to town which was pleasant. Shop had basics.
Stopped here for few days on way to Portugal. very friendly helpful and smiley staff. Very large pitches. Beach opposite Isla Cripta just a short walk up the road.
