This is super little site perfectly located for visiting Granada - 30 mins by bus just outside the site. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The site although close to the motorway is very peaceful and relaxing with views of the snow-capped mountains. The sanitary facilities are aged and could do with the attentions of a plumber, but are spotlessly clean and work fine with loads of hot water - no complaints. We would definitely use the site again if visiting Granada. Tip - if ‘doing’ the Alhambra, spend a while climbing up to the Mirador San Nicolas for stupendous views of the spectacular buildings opposite - perhaps even stop for ‘lunch with a view’?
Next door restaurant and swimming pool shut down, very disappointing, now very and average overnight stop.
Dear Mr. Green. It'a a pity that you put our campsite down just because we had the swimming pool closed during october like the most of other campsites near Granada. If only you would be read the information on Acsi guide, you could be know that it remains open just during summer. When you are using a discount card for low season, you obtain also low season services. We apologize for the inconveniences that your ignorance about the use of the Acsi guide could have caused to you.
Flat level hardstanding pitches of 60sqm, need rock pegs and a 'lump hammer', pool closed, restaurant closed. Occasional sewage smell for short periods, showers and toilets need renovating. Grounds maintenance poor, trees had dead branches hanging over pitches, also dead trees on site! Bus stop 50 metres away, power outage to whole site for a time. Staff did not seem cheerful or over helpful. Had to pay CASH as they would not take any cards (seems to be a permanent feature even though the petrol station down the road takes all the usual cards)!
Good campsite as a base for the area close to motorway.
Pitches a bit small. Lots of tree cover.
Facilities tired but work well.
Beware power supply. My tester showed there was an earth problem. Reception not interested - "never been a problem in 30 years".
Nice basic site with all you need for a short stay. Pitches are variable sizes but we had plenty of space. Large trees provided shade and lots of birdsong. Shower block was clean. Reception organised Alhambra tickers for us & it was very easy to get there from the site. Free Wi-Fi in bar area. We would certainly return.
This is a wonderful little campsite, our favourite after 45 years of camping. The family running the campsite is really friendly, helpful and children-oriented.
The mountain view from outside the campsite is magnificent. Inside, the campsite has very good shade from mature trees, and flat, spacious pitches.
The swimming pool, open from the end of June to the beginning of September is exceptional.
The Reception will arrange visits to the Alhambra and other attractions and offer lots of advice on the area.
Toilet, washing and other facilities are cleaned very regularly.
Our grandchildren can't wait to get back each year to enjoy swimming in the Olympic size pool, climbing the mountains, visiting Granada's Science Park or going down to the sea. It is a great centre for a long holiday, with the added bonus that, while the days are hot, the nights are cool enough for comfortable sleeping.
It was a great place, quiet and clean. Well connected and they offered us a good tourist information to visit the beautiful city of Granada.
There are two bars, one small inside the campground and a trendy bar and restaurant beside the campsite .... really fantastic.
The supermarket doesn't have many products, but you can buy bread, ice, drinks ...
We arrived Easter week, but despite being charged extra, nothing advertised was open. The shop, bar, and cafe were closed but we were not informed when we booked. Staff were at best indifferent. We would never return and would advise you travel a little further when visiting Granada to stay somewhere more honest.
This is a lovely campsite that we have visited many times before because we always enjoy it. The view of the mountains from the entrance is stunning, and the inside of the campsite is very well shaded with mature trees.
The staff are very knowledgeable about the region and are very welcoming. The site is usually quiet - no loud televisions or radios, secure, and the atmosphere is fresh and pleasant since it is nearly 1000 m above sea level. The city, sea and mountains are in easy reach.
The swimming pool is exceptional (50 metres long), but only open in the summer (check for dates). There are also an informal and more formal restaurant within walking distance.
Our grandchildren have loved coming here with us for several weeks at a time and living the outdoor life.
