Great location with fabulous views both to Granada and Sierra Nevada. Staff welcoming and very helpful. They have lots of information about Granada and the surrounding area. Good restaurant on site open daily throughout the year. Great bus service into Granada and the local town is within walking/cycling distance.
Site is kept clean as are the toilet/shower blocks, though the showers could do with being retiled.
Twisty, hilly road from Granada to site which might cause problems for caravans. We enjoyed our few days there.
Very nice site, the last 4 miles on the road are pretty twisty but not too bad, the staff are very friendly and the pitch we had was very big, 7.4m van, sun shade and car no problem. Granada and the Alhambra are all within a twenty minute drive away, there is a bus from the site entrance but we drove there, there is lots of parking.
We cycle on electric bikes and the site is great for that, not sure how you would get on without electric and the gradients are 20 to 30%.
Superb site - friendly helpful staff - excellent restaurant - catered easily for husband with gluten free requirements loved the pool and peaceful gardens ... This is a great site for trips to mountains and of course Alhambra palace in Granada we will be back!!
Everything else was great, pitch, location, hiking, even our food in the restaurant was superb. Having lived in Granada for the past 15 years but new to motor-homing, we still feel aggrieved when obviously being overcharged as foreigners!
Fabulous campsite. Bit of a faff checking in with a caravan as not easy to park and you’re not allowed in until the booking in process is completed. Apart from that , just fabulous. Lots of hot water , great showers etc etc. Bar great, didn’t eat but a lot of the locals used the restaurant so must be good. Bus direct to Granada from the site gates . Loved it and would recommend others to use it.
The views from this campsite are breath-taking, and the staff very helpful. Our pitch was spacious and they are all separated by hedges, with a variety of sizes and shading available. The only thing that lets the site down is the musty smell in the showers, where there is a problem with dampness and condensation. Don't let it put you off though, as the site has a lovely feel about It and is a good location for visiting Granada, the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. There are also lovely walks nearby with rivers, waterfalls, mountains and at this time of year, lots of beautiful almond trees in blossom. We will come again.
A lovely campsite. Friendly and helpful people, good restaurant, nice pool, wonderful views. Site well kept with hedged pitches. Secure and safe. Very quiet. Excellent for hiking in the Nevada or for visiting Granada.
A good base for skiing and cycling if you like hills. The scenary is lovely. Good bus trip to Granada. Heated shower block.
A very friendly, helpful and very well maintained campsite. The shop is well stocked and "La Solana" restaurant is excellent and also offers a take-away service. English is spoken in both the reception/shop and restaurant. The large open air swimming pool is a welcome attraction when the summer temperatures soar. The countryside surroundings of rivers, reservoir and mountains are simply stunning and the locals were very friendly. The bus into Granada stops at the campsite entrance. It was a further 25 minute walk (some uphill) to La Alhambra ticket entrance (It is recommended you buy tickets in advance). Granada is a fabulous city with lots of attractions and good shops, restaurants and bars. (We took a late night taxi back from Granada).
love this place ..staff so friendly and efficient .. views breath taking good food and near to Granada only 15 mins on a scooter.lovely bar area and good food thumbs up
