We were a little shocked when shortly after leaving the main road outside Granada when our GPS navigator announced it did not know if the road was suitable for caravans our size. We continued and although quite steep in places with a couple of hairpin bends it was a wide well made road that gave us no problems.
The pitches on the site are a variety of sizes and the friendly and helpful staff pointed out the ones that would most easily accommodate our 8m twin axle caravan.
The facilities were kept spotless with all the necessities provided.
The views of the Sierra Nevada from the site are stunning
There is what looks a good restaurant on site but we did not try it but intend to next time we visit this very pleasant site

We were in Granada to visit the Alhambra. As we hadn't known quite when we would be there, we hadn't booked a campsite or the ticket for the Alhambra. We rang the campsite when we were about 70 kms away and were told there was plenty of space no need to book. We were very happy with the pitch and the facilities are excellent. The site is in the Sierra Nevada, a twisty 10 kms from Granada. The staff advised us that we could get tickets for the Alhambra on the day we wanted to visit if we were prepared to go very early and queue for a limited number of day tickets. That worked well and we were even more pleased with our choice of site when we drove back from the heat of Granada up into the cool fresh mountain air of Guejar Sierra. It is a lovely site and we had amazing views of the mountains from our pitch. The restaurant meals were good and the shop sold a useful array of food as well. We stayed for another few days and enjoyed the peace and beauty . Highly recommended.

We planned to stay for 3 days but stayed for 6. Beautiful site in fantastic surroundings. We walked into the village a couple of times and loved sitting in the main square watching the locals chat. The staff were so lovely, especially on reception and in the shop which stocks all of the essentials. Wifi not good, we could only get online twice in 6 days but when the area is so pretty who really cares. Swimming pool is great, lovely and clean with beautifully kept grass for sunbathing. Will definately return.

Loved the site, good sized pitch, lovely scenery. We enjoyed the walk to the village with our dog through the countryside track. Steep in places especially in the village which had local shops with good supplies.. Meal was very good at the restaurant. Close to Alhambra, and lots of other walking routes.

One of our favourite sites. One of the best aspects is the helpful and friendly staff of this family run site. The pitches are spacious and well screened, the toilet and shower room (heated) are kept spotless, there's a well stocked mini-supermarket with a fine selection of good wines, the restaurant is first class and the views spectacular. Lots of good walking nearby in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

A very friendly, helpful and very well maintained campsite. The shop is well stocked and "La Solana" restaurant is excellent and also offers a take-away service. English is spoken in both the reception/shop and restaurant. The large open air swimming pool is a welcome attraction when the summer temperatures soar. The countryside surroundings of rivers, reservoir and mountains are simply stunning and the locals were very friendly. The bus into Granada stops at the campsite entrance. It was a further 25 minute walk (some uphill) to La Alhambra ticket entrance (It is recommended you buy tickets in advance). Granada is a fabulous city with lots of attractions and good shops, restaurants and bars. (We took a late night taxi back from Granada).
