A lovely quiet site with great views of the Sierra Nevada. Staff very helpful and friendly. Ten minutes walk from Beas, where there are small supermarkets and bars/restaurants. Great walking in every direction from Beas - particularly recommend the walk through the hills to Granada (there is a bus back! or if you have a dog, a taxi)
Great campsite with wonderful views of the Sierra Nevada, staff are very very helpful , particulary good for exploring Granada , that can be reached using a local inexpensive bus, will use again in the future.
The site was quiet, so we had our pick of pitches which were of a very good size and level. The toilets and showers were very clean however the show was hot for only two minutes then went very cold, so very disappointed. When we went to pay, the man on reception would not accept any of the proof we had of having acsi card (web page, receipt for 2017 and photo of card-still at home since new card and we had been touring since November, so very disappointed. No local amenities, small supermarket in Beas de Granada a 15 minute walk. Scenery was stunning however.
A great little site convenient for visiting Granada, which is why we chose it. Alhambra tickets can be booked by the very helpful Reception, although in May we had to wait from our arrival on Wednesday evening until Saturday to get a ticket, so be warned and book ahead! Buses run from the campsite several times a day except Sundays, at a cost of €2.40 each way pp. The journey takes a picturesque 20 mins and drops you a short walk from the centre. From there shuttle buses run up to the Alhambra but can be unpleasantly hot and crowded so would recommend either walking, or the hop on, hop off tourist train. We went into the city twice and loved it, there\'s so much to see and do apart from the Alhambra, including the old moorish town of Albaycin.
The campsite site itself has some great pitches but can be busy. We swapped pitches after night one to one with a fabulous view of the Sierra Nevada. As other reviewers have commented, the sanitary facilities could do with a bit of TLC - broken hooks and door locks in some showers and toilets and a door that wouldn\'t close, but plenty of hot water and all in all a congenial, friendly and good value site where we happily whiled away four nights.
A very friendly clean campsite. extremely friendly helpful willing staff. You can choose your own pitch to suit needs some small some larger pitches. Amazing views of Sierra Nevada mountains spectacular anytime of day. We stayed 5 days. Very friendly and hospitable guests from all over Europe. Very handy for visiting Granada. We will be back later this year.
My abiding memories after having stayed 2 nights recently was the smell in the toilets, the outrageously expensive wifi and the convenient bus service to Granda. All the other comments about lack of investment ring true.
Excellent access to pitch but sailed straight past the site due to very poor direction signs for the site and luckily managed to turn round in the village. Pitches on the top terrace are tricky with our large outfit, we could have been warned. Good restaurant with bar which is frequented by the villagers. Reception could not have been more helpful but as always fresh eyes could come up with improvements regarding the site, having said that a very enjoyable 2 night stay in December and would visit again. I have left out some responses due to the season so the score will be understandably low, eg. pool, entertainment, sports facilities etc.
Would recommend this site for visiting Granada. 1.60euros by bus good view of Granada as you enter. Staff helpful and good to find a Cafe/restaurant open. Pitch good firm standing, as out of season plenty of space. Toilets good and clean plenty of hot water for everything including dishes etc.
This is a very small site located in a lovely location overlooking Sierra Nevada. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site is very popular with the local village which also is worth a visit. The bus to Granada stops outside or you can drive in 15-20 mins..
The only down side would be that the toilet and showers could do with a face lift. It wouldn\'t take a lot just replace the broken hooks and a stool in the shower
wouldn\'t go amiss. What i didn\'t like at all was that all the flushers in the toilets were plastics tags which you had to pull, very unhygienic
A fairly small campsite only a few km from the autovia. Beautifully located in the Sierra Nevada with excellent views of the surrounding area. The pitches are fairly small for a larger motorhome. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very good although a little expensive. There is cheap & easy access to Granada with the bus stopping outside the site. It snowed overnight whilst we were there.
