Situated a 10 min walk from a small, attractive town which has 2 supermarkets and a bus service ( only 2 buses a day) to Córdoba. This is a small site with a clean and adequate toilet block, plenty of hot water in the free showers. The pitches were a little small for us (we have a large twin axle caravan) but the site wasn’t busy so we were able to park our car on an adjacent pitch and no one objected. The pitches have plenty of shade from trees. The pool was still open when we visited at the end of September but the restaurant and bar was closed. Apart from visiting Córdoba there wasn’t much else to do here. We tried to cycle locally but there were no cycle tracks, just narrow, albeit quiet roads, with deep ditches at the sides so we didn’t fancy cycling on them. But if you are a mountain biker there are loads of mountain tracks to explore. There’s a reservoir nearby which we took the dog to for a swim but it took us a while to find an access road down to the water and we found the rivers here were not accessible either. A couple of minor issues - we were here as the leaves on the many trees were falling and the site staff burn them which filled the air with smelly smoke which caused us some throat problems during one of the 4 days of our stay. Some people complained but they were told it had to be done to get rid of the leaves. I don’t understand why they don’t collect them up and compost them. Also there were loads of house flies on the pitch which were a nuisance but they didn’t bite. Having said that it’s a very quiet, pleasant site, there’s a bit of road noise and you hear the trains occasionally but it didn’t bother us. It’s a great overnight stop for those travelling south. You definitely need an ACSI card though because it’s very expensive to stay her without (about 50 Euro a night for us). Oh and if you are pulling a trailer even with your ACSI card they charge you an extra 4-5Euro a night.
Wonderful camping with clean bathrooms. Great pool. Calm and relax. Bus near the camping ti visit the city. Would come back again
Site exceeded our expectations after reading previous reviews, pitches good, showers hot Córdoba 20 minutes from site by car where you can park easily. Will come again staying for 3 nights.
Access into pool is difficult for children and those less able which is a shame as good clean pool.
Reception very good helpful and informative.
Well this site must have improved a lot based on previous reviews. We can’t fault it, the staff, the facility, including the hot water in the showers. It is cold water to wash up dishes with but didn’t bother me as Fairy washing up liquid does the job! Can’t fault the staff. Pitch fabulous, gardens and shrubs beautiful. Pool open but we didn’t use it so can’t comment but it looks well services and the surrounds immaculate. Easy to get to the bus stop for a trip to see the mosque. Well recommended.
Was a little concerned about going to this site after reading the reviews, but nothing else on route. Was pleasantly surprised as could not find any fault with the site or facilities, showers very hot, cleaned regularly. Wifi was the best we have had in Spain. decided to stay two nights spent a day in Córdoba which is well worth a visit.
Campsite let down entirely by the poor showers - yes it\'s explained in the leaflet you\'re given that the hot water takes a long time to come through and you should keep pushing the button, but to do that you have to stand in the cold water! I had an umbrella with me and used that to press the button but I still got soaking wet as it is a cubicle with no recess for your clothes so nowhere to hide! As the button had to be pressed for so long - and it was a really hard button, difficult to press, and giving only a couple of seconds each time, you couldn\'t keep it pressed in - the floor got flooded so you\'re actually standing in a couple of inches of water as well!
Oh and this site charges for everything - the ACSI price is 19 euros but they charged an extra 3.30 for our trailer, even though we still only occupied one pitch. The supposed free internet didn\'t materialise, no signal at all. The bus to Cordoba is down a long road, about 15 minutes walk, and only goes at 07.15, 08.00, 09.30, 14.15 and 16.15.
In the high season this is probably a good site but in the low season it\'s overpriced for what you get, even at ACSI rates. We now wish we had used the Aire in Cordoba.
Opened sack of rubbish not cleaned up for 2 days outside toilet block. Swimming pool cleaning system not working; green slime in overflows not healthy. Showers never got hot even after 3 days of trying.
Stopped one night and it was VERY quiet. Had pool to ourselves but everything was closed - no restaurant or shop open in early September. Very helpful staff with advice next morning on leaving about where to park free in Córdoba and a free city map.
nice site close to a small town. toilet / shower block clean, but quite small (only 4 wcs and showers for each sex). close to bus stop for bus to Cordoba.
The campsite is fairly easy to find. The man in reception was not very friendly or helpful. The Bar/ Restaurant was shut and the shop was opened if you wanted anything . The site itself with hedges around each pitch was not easy to drive around . We were going to go in to Cordoba the following day but decided we did not want to stay another night . Would not go back and this is the first campsite in the book that we have decided that.
