Excellent site. Large pitches and spotless showers and loos. Stayed from end of April to early June 14. Friendly staff, bar and restaurant very good value and delicious food. Hope to visit again.
This is a lovely site with friendly staff and good sized pitches. Very quiet. Worth a visit just for the views which are stunning.
A fantastic new site with stunning views, thanks to the spacious pitches on many levels. Excellent food and service in the restaurant too. Bit hard to get a tent peg into, but that wouldn't worry most people. Very quiet when we went, so make the most of it now.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, a clean well laid out campsite .The 360° views from this site are some of the best you can get on any site in Europe with amazing sunsets over the mountains. We would definitely recommend.
Very clean and pleasant campsite on outskirts of Olvera. Plenty of space and large pitches. Loads of hot water.Only downside - no tumble dryer and we had wet 2 nights so could not do washing! Would recommend
Stunning! The views were amazing and sunsets breathtaking with the 360 degree views. Very quiet in April, only ever about 12 units there but we stayed a week and loved it, using it to make a trip to Seville and to Ronda as well as long cycle rides on the via Verde from Olvera. And enjoying Olvera itself. Would love to go again.
The pool is good and the supermarket works well. The camping area is clean and free of shadows. The new toilet and clean. The staff are friendly. Too bad the park be located next to an industrial area where ecological fertilizer is manufactured and the smell is very bad.
Having read some of the reviews we were in two minds about staying here - but we're glad we did as the advantages easily outweigh the disadvantages. We liked the large pitches with amazing views, the clean toilet blocks, the pleasant swimming pool and the friendly bar with good sharing dishes (raciones). The site is well positioned for visiting the lovely nearby towns of Olvera, Setenil las Bodegas and Zahara de la Sierra. However, most the site lacks shade (try to camp on the northern side where the trees are more established) and the weeds need better control.
This site is a little piece of heaven. It’s quite rustic which is what we like. Our pitch was at the top of the site on a plateau with 360 degree spectacularly breathtaking views of the surrounding Sierra Nevada. We just couldn’t get enough of it. There were amazing sunsets. Olvera is a beautiful village with lots of history and the Via Verde is a fabulous cycle/walking path on a disused railway track which runs for 36km. You can see lots of Griffin vultures which are pretty amazing, we had our own air show. There are some steep hills, especially the road to and from the Via Verde. Even our electric bikes couldn’t make it and we had to push them but it was worth it. The only criticism is the showers in the top shower block have no division to put your towel/clothes and you have to get dried and dressed in the wet. But the positives certainly outweigh this small negative. We loved this site and really didn’t want to leave and will definitely come again.
Helpful staff. Good size pitches with superb views of the mountains. Fairly basic but clean and hot water in facilities. Great location in the Sierras cycle or walk into Olvera. Really enjoyed the Via Verde
de la Sierra cycle track on disused railway track.
