Outwardly appears a pleasant site, large pitches mostly covered with cloth sunshades, gravel pitches, water on each pitch, BUT DONT DRINK IT.
A few other \'Potable\' sources around the site to use.
Sanitary block, clean and tidy, a large block, one for the whole site.
If you thought you might sleep her, sadly No, it is infested with large numbers of schoolchildren, the noise till late at night was excessive in the re are no views, in any direction from any of the pitches, it’s quite claustrophobic,
Getting to the site, is somewhat like driving across a very large tip, the motorway down to the area was more of interest.
Cycle paths, are obviously intended for rugged mountain bikes, don’t bother with normal road bikes.
There is little to recommend this site, we planned to stay longer, we couldn’t put up with the noisy children, up till late at night, we; like several other campers, left the site feeling very disappointed.
WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

Arrived here mid September on the basis of reviews on this app and the fact that it was in a national park. Well the campsite is reasonable but we were very disappointed as soon as we left the site and walked down to the beach. It looked like there had been a festival and no one had bothered to clear up afterwards with the amount of rubbish everywhere.

Stayed 3 nights in January 2016.
A good base to explore Cabo de Gata. Loads of walks & cycling in the area. If you've never visited Southern Spain before the poly-tunnels on the way in can be a bit disconcerting but they end several kilometres from the site.
Most pitches are covered by shades (supported by steel rods pointing out which could damage high roofed motorhomes) and in the low season it would be better if the shades were removed.
As a consequence of the shades the pitch was dark which made the inside of the our van even darker, required lights most of the time!
Toilets & showers were clean but dated, gents shower had no hot water on one day and on another fluctuated between hot & cold.
Restaurant food was good.

The area is stunning; amazing rugged coastline and coves to visit with plenty of walking and off-road biking. Road cycling a bit limited but worth it for a short stay. Campsite a bit disappointing considering reviews: lacked atmosphere, a bit scruffy for its category, on site but particukarlh the immediate surroundings, and very noisy at weekends due to the permanent enclave of spanish. Pitch on the right side to minimise the impact. Staff are amazing; faultless, good bar and restaurant. Wifi is free and outstanding - streamed Netflix, no problem. This could be a real gem given the area with some investment and attention to detail, but consider it more like a Cat 2 but worth the Acsi price due to free wifi and unlimited 20A electric if you need it.

With very good pitches, facilities, staff, available information, and quality free WiFi this site rates highly. However, for us, these features combined with the superb location elevate Los Escullos to a level that belies it\'s component facets. As cyclists (gravel bikes) who enjoy remote beaches and coves off the beaten track the options seem endless. Most of these places are also accessible by car and motorcycle (sometimes a camper van) combined with a short walk. Coming with an intention of staying 5 days and staying 10 is a massive commendation from us.

This is a really excellent site, a little oasis in the Cabo de Gata desert. Plenty to see locally. The site facilities are good and the pitches flat, clean, generous and shaded. If you intend to visit in early June like us, I suggest you check that there will not be hundreds of school children staying in the cabins right next to the pitches. I love kids - we have 3 of our own - but it is not acceptable to have the noise and the poor supervision from very early to very late, with gangs of them running through your pitch.

Excellent campsite, no negative points at all, pool great, pitches large, bar area and shop, excellent, views beautiful, we will definitely return when in the area.

Ended up staying for 7 nights as we liked it so much, this also ended in getting a night for free. Decent pitches of various sizes seperated by partial hedging. Water, electric and waste on each pitch. Toilet and washing up facilties nothing special but ok. Staff friendly. Nice bar and restaurant, ate there twice and food was good. Happy hour between 6pm-7pm. Great area for hiking and cycling, stunning scenery with some lovely villages nearby. If you want lots of restaurants and shops on your doorstep with a long promenade this place may not be for you, but if you want the outdoors with a stunning location its great.

If you are a dog lover then this is the site for you, as every other person seems to have a dog (some dogs & owners better behaved than others). The site it’s self is in a lovely location, about a mile from the coast. There are good walking & cycling opportunities around. There is a very active social scene on site which is great, also helped by happy hour every night between 6-7pm. The pitches have 20 amp electric & most are a good size. Showers & toilets are good, but could do with a bit of updating. The problem in January was that many pitches are covered with green plastic, which limits the amount of sun.

A small terraced site on the edge of the lake. Superb staff adequate pitches, covered for shade but some covers appear tired. The restaurant is fantastic with an excellent selection of different as well as usual foods. Prices are not bad either. €130 for 6 people with drinks and a main.

Showers are, once they warm up, hot and powerful, however there isn’t anywhere to keep clothes or towels dry inside the cubicle, which has opaque doors.
