Pitches small and close together. Concrete beach but a fine view of the container terminal and docks at Koper. Picture in your book carefully cropped to avoid showing this. Noisy Fun Fair on the adjoining land. Otherwise pretty average.
Stayed on acsi advertised as 20 euros. You have to pay for children then you pay for a wrist band to work the showers they say is for eco water saving. Why don’t they just have a push button??? Try to charge you for new water to put in your van but used a tap elsewhere. Shower blocks clean though and children park good. You have to pay extra for indoor pool, not a spa just a pool with jacuzzi .only 1 washing machine on site and was not working but the staff did not know so still sold tokens. All in all not the best, unorganised and just a money making business. Would not return or recommend.
Pitch size was adequate but could have been a bit clearer marked. Toilets/showers clean and neat. Supermarket could have some English tea ( small point but they have plenty of fruit ones ) otherwise it had the essentials and there is another one just outside of the camp on the other side of the road. Internet free at reception and was better then the paid for version.
Nice area, good cycle to Koper which has a big dock/port but also a nice front around the corner. Site is jammed near the sea but OK further back. We were there on weekend and lots of children, quiet on the Monday and we payed for the wellness centre indoor pool as outside pool was not open. Bar/restaurant on the front looked good but we didn't try it. No beach.
A well run campsite with good pitches and a range of facilities. Great WiFi on pitch. Not a lot to see or do and noise throughout night from port/refinery in the same bay.
I wouldn't want to be here in the height of the season or for long, but a few days at the beginning of May was fine. We pitched up the top, away from the shanty town of seasonal pitches, and felt as if we had our own exclusive campsite with a few others. A few things to see in the area, but really just a staging post en route to Croatia.
We were at the end of season so didn't have the noise or squashed problems of other reviewers. The pitches by the sea were packed so we parked further up. Lots of trees which you probably would have been glad of for shade but for us it just meant moving the chair around to follow the sun. There were lots of caravans looking like a shanty town by the sea all closed up but we just enjoyed the last remains of the summer. The facilities were also manly closed but the town had a few restaurants/ coffee places which was nearby.
What a pity, seasoners make it look like a dirty shanty town by being allowed to place one filthy construction upon another. Children running, screaming until late. Numerous staff chatting on way to work at 5:50am. Deep gullies to cross for the majority of pitches and a huge possibility of getting stuck in mud everywhere. NEVER again.
