Basic site. Showers and loos need updating. But hot.
Fabulous green areas, trees, wildbirds etc.
Great pool. Nice bar, terrace, restaurant.
Excellent campsite - friendly helpful staff, smashing bar & restaurant, lovely pool, decent size pitches, good sanitary facilities, quiet - and all at such a lovely low price.
Nice walk down into the little village with it’s bars and restaurants.
Cannot recommend this campsite enough if it’s peace and value you’re after.
Arrived in pouring rain on a Sunday hoping to get a meal (acsi website says restaurant open from April) owner told us it was only open in July and August! He kindly drove us to the local restaurant and we had a lovely meal. Not sure why this site has 3 stars? The facilities are awful. The area is wonderful once you have negotiated the tricky road from the A3.
We stayed here 30/31 March. This was just before the mini market and the restaurant/bar opened on 1st April. The site was very peaceful. The showers were very hot and the facilities were very clean. We were also able to use the washing machine. An excellent couple of nights would have no hesitation in staying there again.
Arrived on the Saturday of “harvest” weekend. Site very busy, Staff very helpful, pitches good size( 6.5 metre motorhome ) toilets , showers and washing /laundry good, separate area with washing lines adjacent to laundry area. Sat by the pool in the sun , all clean and tidy, ate in the restaurant Sunday lunch , traditional home cooked fare and local wine , excellent value, stayed two nights, cycled a few km along the river, found a nice picnic area and decommissioned 1930 s hydro power station. Apparently the first in this area.
Overall excellent value for money, friendly helpful staff
Nice site with reasonable pitches. Swimming pool very good. Toilet block a little tired but ok. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but went to a lovely restaurant in the village. Would return to this site.
Both self and French tourist following GPS navigators (Garmin and TomTom) routed here unnecessarily via steep narrow winding roads not suited to larger camping cars or car/caravan outfits. My advice is to use good map for easier approach. But well worth the effort to arrive at this pleasant site with facilities comparable to other sites costing more. large swimming pool and homely restaurant and bar modestly priced. I would visit again if in this area.
