Only pitches up to 70 square metres offered for ACSI rates ( not 100 as stated by ACSI). Access to some pitches therefore not easy/possible for larger units. Staff have to come to connect and disconnect EHU. Pleasant site, but unfortunately, once pitched we realised that the van behind was running a standalone air conditioning unit all day, venting out of their window onto our pitch, so they could leave their dog in the van all day, whilst they went off to the beach. Our stay was not as restful as it could have been between the sound of the air con, and the barking of the dog. Our neighbours were not alone in this, with the sound of barking and howling dogs across units on the site!
Lovely swimming pool, good main course meal in the restaurant, although the service was poor, and after a long wait, we abandoned any idea of a post meal coffee.
We were asked to pay up front for our stay, otherwise we would have moved on before our 3 nights were up.
This is a lovely site, but they do need to get a handle on the dog and pitch problems. For the first time ever, as ACSI users we did feel as though we were viewed as \' second class\'.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Great site for families plenty for children to do. Two great pools very helpful friendly staff stayed for 3 nights. Good bus service to surrounding towns from outside the camp. Grandchildren loved it

This campsite refused to honour the ACSI discount, firstly because we had asked for a medium sized pitch (not a small one) and then when I offered to change to the small pitch, they said that they never gave the ASCI discount on pre-booked pitches. They only give the discount if you arrive without booking in the hope of a site being available. I find this behaviour dishonest because they take advantage of the ACSI system, which is based on cheaper pitches, but refuse to honour their commitments.

the best we have ever stayed in. Spotless facilities, excellent pitches, very well maintained, efficient and friendly staff. There was a wide range of age and nationalities. A well stocked shop and great service at bar/restaurant with reasonable price. There is a village within walking distance with bars, cafes and a small friendly supermarket. Good bus services to several destinations including Praia de Luz (which is also walking distance) Lagos, Sagres etc.

Well planned large site with a good range of pitches at various prices. Pitches are well marked out with reasonable privacy despite its size and number of occupants.restaurant closed on our visit which was disappointing but the bar provided good snack food, pizza/burger/salads. Food and drink very reasonably priced. Good wine selection at bar. Daily activities such as yoga, fitness sessions, tai chi and Pilates even in off season. Good laundry and toilet facilities. Plenty of hot water. It doesn\'t feel crowded despite the number of pitches occupied. Staff very friendly and helpful. Well stocked shop on site with fresh bread and pastries every day. English spoken throughout. Site very clean and well maintained. Dogs walked along a track next to the site. Easy to access main attractions along the algarve coast. Very relaxing place to stay. We would recommend this site.

Lovely site. Great facilities. WiFi extra but good. Great location to explore from. Pitches good size. Wild dogs barking overnight in distance, earplugs suggested. Definitely would return.

Outstanding quality site with many excellent facilities. Lots of improvements evident and very helpful staff.
Our family came out and stayed in a quality unit. Only problem is that it is difficult to walk to Luz due to the steep hills so be prepared to stay on site (no hardship) or use car or taxi (these can be difficult to get as advance booking was not accepted) Overall, highly recommended.

We were a little wary when we drove through the gates but as we were only going to stay 2 nights at most we decided to make the most of it. Well we found a lovely spot 613 and ended up staying 4 nights. We walked into Praia Da Luz twice and had a great time with the dog on the far end of the beach. We stopped at the big Spar shop which had everything you need and more and was much cheaper than the shop on site. One evening we walked 10 mins to the little holiday village just past the site and had the best steaks we have ever tasted in a small restaurant called The Grapevine. Friday nights you can have 3 courses for €17.50 pp , I had soup, fillet steak and a South African pudding all of which were top class. The fillet was huge and my husbands rump steak took up half the plate, excellent value but be warned it gets very busy and we sat outside. May be best to book. We didnt eat on site but everyone that we spoke to said it was goog and good value. The toilet facilities here are second to none, we are on a years trip across Europe and this was the 18th site and by far the best facilities . The dog shower was great after a trip to the beach too. Would definately recommend .

Due to other commitments we could only stay at this site for 3 nights but we would definitely return. Nice pitches, 5 star toilet/shower blocks, lovely pool area, very friendly staff, excellent paid wifi, and short cycle ride into Praia da luz (beware of the climb back up hill.) This should set the standard for all camping sites.
