This is a delightful little site. It\\\'s true the pitches aren\\\'t numbered so if you want serried rows of campers, this is probably not for you. Also, to be fair, access is a little difficult for large caravans and camper vans. The site owners are very friendly and welcoming. The bar area is beautifully done out. Meals and drinks are excellent. The pool looks inviting - just need some sun and I\\\'ll be in. Excellent base for touring - just don\\\'t recommend towing in over the Serra d\\\'Estrella in the clouds! The facilities are a little dated but clean and with lashings of very hot water and no silly push buttons in the showers.

Heaven on earth! If you like a small, rural campsite with excellent toilet facilities plus a beautiful bar/ restaurant then this is for you. It has a rustic charm and you are hosted by the wonder Mieke and her supportive staff.

We have just left this dump after driving 132 miles to it because of the reviews. Site? Was empty with a note to get a place and see you later.
I walked the paths on the site to look but would not drive my motorhome on them. Could be fine in Summer but not after all this rain. Could not find a pitch on any level I would drive to. Whole place looked very sad.
How can this be an ACSI recommended site?
Don’t go there unless you have a 4x4 and a very small caravan.
Don’t go there with any motorhome.
Very disappointed with this ACSI recommended site, who inspected this one!!

Travelling party: Couple

We visited early in May and the weather was awful all over Portugal so we decided to sit it out for a couple of days in the mountains. We chose Toca Da Reposa because it sounded quiet and laid back. It was both of those and more. Even though it rained every day we would take our dog for a long walk and then go to the bar/restaurant to have either food or a beer with the other guests. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. Everyone spoke to each other and Mieke the owner cooked a beef sew one night for 8 of us to share. There were 2 Belgians guests, 4 Dutch guests and my husband and I. We had a lovely evening. The site is very relaxed and the resident dogs Scooby and Zarah were real characters. Scooby even joined us with our dog Milo on a long walk. If you want peace and quiet but also a lovely , small but beautifully decorated bar/restaurant to go to in the evenings then you will love it here. Some pitches aren't easy to access with larger motorhomes and they don't take card payment but don't let that put you off. We stayed for 4 nights in the end and loved every minute. We will be back for sure.

Travelling party: Group of friends

The campsite is in a lovely spot and the main building is inviting and interesting with a lovely rustic charm. The site offers good facilities and a range of camping/ accommodation options. However the pool is small but functional. Owners are welcoming, the bar is comfortable and friendly. Generally a good location to access mountains, Coimbra (1.5 hr drive) and other local areas, the supermarket and local villages. We did eat at the site once, a BBQ while nice it was not outstanding.

Delightful, peaceful site run by very friendly and helpful owners. Facilities are well maintained and very clean. Good, wholesome, home cooked food served in the restaurant at a very reasonable price.Beautiful views all around, especially from the pitch we had. A real find and the perfect place to relax and chill out. We stayed five nights instead of the intended two. A real find and highly recommended if you like the quiet life and want to chill out and relax.
