difficult to rate child friendliness and sports facilities as we don\'t have children and walking and cycling as sporty as we get! great area for both tho... stayed 4 nights..would have stayed longer but unseasonably chilly! easy to get to Amsterdam..park and ride at Olympic stadium....also visited cheese market in Woerden. Leiden and it\'s Saturday market we enjoyed more than Amsterdam. Keukenhof gardens amazing. loved the site...would definitely return ...would like to see more of north Dutch coastline. we surprised ourselves how little time we actually need for showering! we were on pitch 72...right by the small canal and watched birdlife...and a hare ..as we needed heating on we upgraded to 10 amp .. still good value site
Nice site at a good ACSI price. Great location for coast and small towns close by. Train station 20 minute cycle ride away. Buses 15 minute walk away. Lidl 10 minute walk. Modern facilities but motor home pitches rather small. Staff very helpful.
All in all, very good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.
Second time here. Good stop off the ferry and reasonable price despite being bulb season. Very friendly and helpful reception. Toilet block very clean...no cobwebs, even on roof lights unlike some. Handy for biking to Nordwijk, nice seaside resort, or Katwijk. not as nice. Go to Keukenhof Gardens if you\'re here at bulb time.. busy but worth it and bike or bus to Leiden which is a smaller version of Amsterdam but equally attractive and interesting.
We enjoyed our stay. Facilities were very clean. Staff helpful and had excellent English. Lovely quiet surroundings. We cycled to Leiden about 40 minutes away - a peaceful ride on cycle paths all the way. Some local farm produce available to buy. Chickens roaming the site and a goat to amuse children. Supermarket a few minutes away in town.
Cleanliness of the shower and toilet facilities showed a lack of cleanliness. Ideal area for cycling with routes clearly marked.
We were travelling in high season, so feel the charge was good value for money. We bought extra time on our hot water 'dongle' ; the balance of which was refunded when we left. Great proximity - 30 minutes easy cycle ride to Keukenhof through the bulb fields. Would recommend this site to others.
Staying here for a week maybe, great for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Haarlem etc. Best pitches for the bulb fields are in 'Gezinsveld' nos 58-75. Lidl 8 minutes away. Bring duck food. Great for bicycles. Nice and quiet. Quirky hot water system, BUT makes you think when having a shower. Great location.
Great, peaceful site, stayed two nights. Across the road is the forest with trails. Easy access to Noordjik and beaches. Tulip fields everywhere(although no longer season when we were there, but nice fields of greens). You can also cycle to Zandvoort along the coast as well(45min one way). Facilities were very clean and staff were lovely and very helpful.
A pleasant and peaceful site in the bulb fields, will revisit, friendly helpful staff. Location excellent for bulb feilds and Kuekenhof gardens
Motor home pitches small and close together. Site has a cramped feel. Motor home service point water has key only available during reception hours. Electric power tripped if using more than one source. Ideal location for a visit to Keukonhof and Amsterdam by train
