Paid per night for our family of 5 and dog for a couple of nights including a \'booking fee\' with ACSI but that doesn\'t include ANY hot water to do your dishes, soap or hand towels / dryer in the toilet block! Not only is not supplying hot water or soap in a toilet block very greedy it\'s also very unhygienic and a first for us in over 10 years camping. The showers are 75c per 6 mins via a token which we were thankfully given some on arrival. In addition to the above the site felt overcrowded with people camping all around the nicer but still very basic children\'s park. The park doesn\'t seem to have that many touring / motorhome pitches so there are a lot of static older caravans there and overall it just didn\'t feel very welcoming or friendly. Oh also you can hear the motorway, trains and level crossing alarm a LOT so if you are a family I wouldn\'t recommend this place. I also don\'t tend to leave reviews but would hate another family to be as disappointed as us turning up here.

This is an ideal site for visiting Hoorn. Quite a long walk but an easy cycle ride. There is a bus near by. The town is an interesting visit. Make sure you find the Cape Horn museum (free) to meet the retired sea captains and see the exhibition. We visited in the low season and the site was quiet. The restaurant / cafe next to the site offered a variety of meals.
