Campsite south of the lovely Amsterdam woods. A beautiful spot in the middle of nature and still very close to the city centre. A perfect operating base for a visit to Amsterdam, Keukenhof, Volendam, and so on.

A greedy campsite. On arrival the first words were your motorhome is bigger than I had said, so it was an extra per night, with a suggestion that if I could afford a €100000 motorhome what was the problem with paying no thought that the van is 10 years old. The online booking system is not very clear and they do not take telephone booking. The site is very noisy with some overseas workers being loud and noisy until after midnight then starting at 4am there were cigarette buts everywhere and on one morning no hot water. On Complaining I was told it was a campsite what did I expect. A nice few days away spoiled by a greedy management.
On arrival we presented both our ID and membership cards. The ID card was retained for the duration of our stay as expected. On leaving we were denied the ACSI discount on the grounds that we had not also deposited our membership card .. I know that this is not normal but would have been happy to do so had it been requested
We found the attitude of the manager most arrogant and he was clearly being dishonest in claiming that we should have left both cards. When asked why we were not told of this requirement he said that he\'did not have to\'.Thus we incurred an extra cost.
Further , we were advised that there was a 5% surcharge for paying with a credit card. Had we known in advance we could have had the cash available. 6euro.Again it would have been kinder to tell us of this .
In view of the dishonesty, arrogance and unfriendliness of the manager we would certainly not stay at this site again. Note that we found the junior staff most helpful and friendly.
Excellent cycle access to the centre of Amsterdam. Staff well informed about transport and facilities in Amsterdam including free underground bike park. Easy access by local bus to excellent supermarket in Amstelveen. Will definitely return to this campsite.
The location is very poor, it took more than an hour to get to the city center.
Bathroom and kitchen are filthy and you have to pay extra for everything - heating in the cold hut, hot shower, even toilet paper and matches to light gas in the kitchen.
The worst thing is the owner, who apparently has serious mental problems. We got a hut infested with bugs and complained about it at the reception, so we got a new house. Still, we asked the owner about a possibility to get a discount because of that, as we were all covered with bugs bites after first night there. His response was yelling at us in a very aggressive way like someone mentally ill and telling us that we probably brought the bugs ourselves and have drunk or smoked too much so we invented the whole story and that we could leave if we didn\'t like it! I have never encountered such rude behaviour in any hostel or other type of accomodation in all my life!
Wonderful place to stay while visiting Holland. Friendly at reception, comfortable pitch for a caravan, very clean toilets and showers. Our granddaughter enjoyed a lot running around the quiet, green and cosy campsite, and the rabbits hopping in between the pitches! And our dog, us too, just was happy having peaceful long walks in the beautifuf park, around the lake, just outside the campfence. When/if we come to Holland again, we will choose the same place, for sure!
Pleasant enough pitch on tidy site, unfortunately very wet on arrival and rained all night leaving every pitch under a layer of water! Toilet block very good, washing and drying facility good, motorhome service point ok. Would use again.
This site was perfect for visiting Amsterdam by bus (very close) or metro. Staff very helpful and spoke English. Very peaceful, good for walking and cycling in local nature park. Facilities block with full amenities and spotlessly clean. No toilet paper supplied. Full motorhome service point. Most important Free Wi-Fi.
Big site, very good for cycling in Amsterdam Bos (buy the map!). Convenient little shop in reception. Not so good for finding a local supermarket!
Bus opposite site goes to a metro station and then to Amsterdam. Allow plenty of time! Beware the idiosyncrasies of the metro ticket machine - it can turn down certain cards then the machine at the next station accepts them!
At the site the pitches for tourers are of rather variable size. Wider pitches, usually opposite the smaller ones, tend to fill even with quite small units, so you may need to travel around before deciding where to stay.
A great site a stone's throw from the capital with all it's attractions. Hire a bike and explore the many cycle paths through Amsterdam's woods.
Excellent site but a tad far to get into Amsterdam on the bikes (for us oldies). The local town is well with reach and the site is compact but well laid out.
