Als 81-jarige na lange caravantochten door heel Europa te hebben gemaakt zijn we toe aan een rustige, goed onderhouden en vriendelijke camping. Deze vonden wij in Stokkum. Camping de Slangenbult ondanks de grootte een oase van rust, mooie natuur en zeer vriendelijke beheerders (familie Wijnands & dochters). Wij weten waar we de komende jaren in voor- en najaar naar toe moeten aan.

Wat een prachtige camping is de Slangenbult in Stokkum! Mooie, zeg maar prachtige omgeving. Leuke en gastvriendelijke eigenaren die samen met hun dochters deze camping runnen. Wij hebben genoten.

Nederland – Stokkum - De Slangenbult
Met de Paasdagen van 2024 verbleven we 4 nachten op deze camping. De ontvangst bij de receptie was bijzonder vriendelijk. We voelden ons meteen thuis. We werden verwezen naar een mooie grote plaats met super uitzicht. Het leek wel of we in een park gingen kamperen, zo mooi. Sanitair is super modern, schoon en ruim. Vanuit de camping mogelijkheden, om te fietsen en te wandelen, maar ook om met de auto de schitterend mooie omgeving te verkennen is niet verkeerd. De prijs per nacht was voor 2 personen 19,00 euro. Voor 4 nachten moesten we echter 96 euro afrekenen (een meerprijs van 10 euro toeristenbelasting en 10 euro milieubelasting). Hoe dan ook, wat is deze camping een aanrader!

Mooi direct aan de natuur gelegen camping. Vriendelijk beheerders. Goede uitvalsbasis voor fiets- en wandeltochten. variatie aan plaatsen in zon/schaduw.
Het sanitair is modern en schoon. Toegang met magneetsleutel is omslachtig. Het grote (gras)veld is wat zanderig en bestaat grotendeels uit onkruid. Infrastructuur voor elektriciteit is niet berekend op het gebruik. Eind van de middag en begin van de avond zagen wij de spanning zakken tot 190 volt. Laders en koelkasten werken dan niet goed meer.

Prachtige plaats voor de caravan op een open veld met zeer ruime plaatsen. Keuze uit schaduw, half schaduw of in de volle zon (het is Nederland, dus dat kan gemakkelijk). Prachtig schoon sanitair en we waren blij met hier en daar watertappunten op de camping. Als tip, misschien een grotere parkeerplek, zodat je de auto niet naast de caravan hoeft te zetten. In ieder geval een aanrader voor iedere bezoeker met een caravan.

Mooie uitvalsbasis voor zowel wandelingen als fietstochten. Uitzichttoren op loopafstand. Heerlijk rustig \'s-nachts.

  • A12 exit 30 to Beek, continue towards Beek. Turn right at 1st roundabout in Beek then immediately left, follow road for 3 km. 1st street on the right in Stokkum (long hedge). Follow camping signs.
