A small campsite by the lake set in the exotic gardens of a stylish villa hotel with an excellent restaurant. The fact that camping guests may use the same outdoor facilities as the hotel guests is a sign of the kind-heartedness of the owners.

I just LOVE Camping Kursaal.
Kind staff, great setting, nice village nearby, great restaurant and pool - perfect weather - one of the best sites in Italy.
Our absolute favourite site of our 5 week tour in Italy. Camping by the lake, great views. Lovely swimming pool and a payable jacuzzi overlooking the lake too. Set in the ground of what could be described as a boutique style hotel. Pitches were level but some were small and had narrow access (several pitches were not suitable for us with a 7.5m van but if you had a smaller van it would be no problem) Bike hire was available. It was a great base for exploring with both lake ferry and train station in the town. Excellent facilities, swimming in the lake possible. Free wifi in and around the reception of hotel. We will absolutely be coming back next year.
Just east of Passignano sul Trasimeno which has a nice selection of restaurants and is only 20mins walk away via the marina. The site itself is beautifully maintained in the grounds of an italian villa which adds style to this small site. The pool isn't that large and was on the cold side early October, although refreshing and ideal for doing a few lengths to cool down. Disappointing that the jacuzzi by the pool was payable, not that it was expensive. Serious swimmers could have fun in the lake accessible by steps down from a concrete sunbathing area to a small beach - ideal for our labrador to retrieve a few sticks too! There is plenty of shade if required but also some sunny sites. Shower block was great and included hair dryers and hot water all day long. Many pitches have a lake view and if you manage to get a pitch directly over looking lake you probably won't want to leave!
On are arrival we were offered a pitch right by the lake for an extra small amount which was really worth it although we had two days of poor weather during a 4 day stay the situation of the lakeside pitches are excellent. The toilets and showers are modern and spotless, the pool looked good as did the restaurant which is very popular. There are some excellent places to visit in the area and what made it for me was the area is not at all commercialised reminding me of my visits to the northern lakes 45 years ago, that now sadly has changed. We were sadden we could only stay for a short period and would definitely use this site again if in the area. It was nearly full in May so booking is recommended.
The best so far! The camping site is attached to a boutique hotel and the same standards maintaining the hotel are used in the camping ground. Very well kept, plenty of shade, privacy, a stunning pool/lake area and very helpful staff. The town, Passignano, is within easy reach by foot or bike to explore and shop. Plus free Wifi.
This site is a delightful place, everything I thought it would be when reading up on it before leaving home in Spain. The staff are extremely helpful and kind, the hotel grounds are superb and the views are wonderful. The meals in the restaurant are superb although service was a little slow. But then again we didn't have a starter. The town is very close especially if you have a car, for us (camper) we used our rusty old bikes and had no problem. Parcellas are a little small in some areas but if you can get a lakeside location you will be in heaven. Want to go back already!
Excellent family owned site with good restaurant. My only comment on the restaurant is that the hot food was served on cold plates but lack of space in the kitchen is the problem.
The views across the lake and the sunsets are awesome. We had 3 lakeside pitches in a week, by choice, the first being waterlogged after heavy rain and the last offering a wonderful view across to the town.
The site is well looked after and both family and staff were very attentive and helpful, however the elderly father needs to improve his social skills if he is to be in charge of reception. He shouted at me when I didn't understand what he was saying as I checked out. I think he is not usually there but looking after the office in the absence of his daughter-in-law who was normally in charge and in control.
Loved this site. We had one of the pitches right on the lakeside and it was idyllic.
Free wifi (at the hotel). Excellent toilet and showers.
Ate at the restaurant once and really enjoyed the meal.
Level 15 minute walk into the town. Good hillside walks. Cycle track around the lake starts just outside the site.
Quite good for the dog, but had to walk about 300 mtrs outside of site before he could exercise.
Would definitely use again.
We loved this campsite. It is in the grounds of a hotel so you benefit from the facilities of a very nice swimming pool and sun loungers and an area of sun loungers over looking the lake with a stunning view. The hotel restaurant and cafe was excellent, great food. Free wifi was perfect and we had great signal in our tent. Toilet and shower facilities were modern and clean. We booked a night in a hotel before arriving here for one night and came back after the hotel as we liked it so much! Would come back here without hesitation and would thoroughly recommend to anyone else.
This is a revisit for us from last year. Having visited over 30 more campsites since we would say the pitches are small compared to others and can be tight to access with a larger unit, however it's a very picturesque site with lovely swimming pool and excellent sanitary facilities. Views across the lake, free wifi, can swim in lake if you want to. Loads to do in the area. Some road and train noise but not off putting. Still rated as our best Italian showers.
