Stayed 3 nights lovely campsite full when we arrived Friday afternoon but found us a space. Right on the water edge so very pretty. Dog park next door which meant my dog could swim. Sweet pool . Hotel in grounds which also has good restaurant , sells milk and bread. Easy walk to local town . Excellent shower and other facilities,
A lovely setting, right by the lake with beautiful views & wonderful sunsets. A nice family run site in the grounds of small hotel, very good, modern & clean washroom facilities, washing machines, washing up sinks etc. EHU near every pitch & water available nearby. Each pitch good size defined by hedges with a few pitches along the waters edge (extra charge) Swimming pool looked nice (too cold to try it in Oct) with sun loungers. Easy walk into village (path disappears for few metres) where there is small supermarket, several restaurants, cafes, bars & a few shops. Local ferry boat available to other side of lake.
Having looked at the choice this was definitely the nicest site in the town. Worth noting there is another campsite being developed the other side of the Hotel (by a family member of the owner) opening 2017
We loved this campsite. It is in the grounds of a hotel so you benefit from the facilities of a very nice swimming pool and sun loungers and an area of sun loungers over looking the lake with a stunning view. The hotel restaurant and cafe was excellent, great food. Free wifi was perfect and we had great signal in our tent. Toilet and shower facilities were modern and clean. We booked a night in a hotel before arriving here for one night and came back after the hotel as we liked it so much! Would come back here without hesitation and would thoroughly recommend to anyone else.
Stayed for 3 nights. In pitch by lake, yet sheltered. Lovely atmosphere, peaceful even though site was pretty busy. Did not try restaurant but it looked good. Swimming pool welcome in heat, but chilly to get into. Great wash facilities. 20 min walk to local village, busy road in places, but owner assures that they are adding a pavement for an 80 m stretch this summer. In other direction, lovely flat cycle route near edge of lake and passing through several villages. Also good for dog walking. Very picturesque area. Free wifi.
What a disappointment. We arrived at this site having read the good reviews to find it inundated with flies. Also after a short storm our pitch was waterlogged. Although the pitches by the lake have wonderful views the rest are small and surrounded by very high hedges and trees. We left after one day.
Excellent family owned site with good restaurant. My only comment on the restaurant is that the hot food was served on cold plates but lack of space in the kitchen is the problem.
The views across the lake and the sunsets are awesome. We had 3 lakeside pitches in a week, by choice, the first being waterlogged after heavy rain and the last offering a wonderful view across to the town.
The site is well looked after and both family and staff were very attentive and helpful, however the elderly father needs to improve his social skills if he is to be in charge of reception. He shouted at me when I didn\'t understand what he was saying as I checked out. I think he is not usually there but looking after the office in the absence of his daughter-in-law who was normally in charge and in control.
The best so far! The camping site is attached to a boutique hotel and the same standards maintaining the hotel are used in the camping ground. Very well kept, plenty of shade, privacy, a stunning pool/lake area and very helpful staff. The town, Passignano, is within easy reach by foot or bike to explore and shop. Plus free Wifi.
A beautiful quite site but be care full if you try to eat on a Saturday night in the restaurant and have not booked you will be told to go away if not booked they won\'t even try to find a place, I only wanted a place for one outside or in, left the next day, won\'t be back,
This is a revisit for us from last year. Having visited over 30 more campsites since we would say the pitches are small compared to others and can be tight to access with a larger unit, however it\'s a very picturesque site with lovely swimming pool and excellent sanitary facilities. Views across the lake, free wifi, can swim in lake if you want to. Loads to do in the area. Some road and train noise but not off putting. Still rated as our best Italian showers.
On are arrival we were offered a pitch right by the lake for an extra small amount which was really worth it although we had two days of poor weather during a 4 day stay the situation of the lakeside pitches are excellent. The toilets and showers are modern and spotless, the pool looked good as did the restaurant which is very popular. There are some excellent places to visit in the area and what made it for me was the area is not at all commercialised reminding me of my visits to the northern lakes 45 years ago, that now sadly has changed. We were sadden we could only stay for a short period and would definitely use this site again if in the area. It was nearly full in May so booking is recommended.
