showers are awful, you only get 1 min if hot water at a time and you have to give a deposit for a chip key. the swimming pool wasn\'t free as stated and they wanted an amount per day pp and a deposit pp for another chip key. the pitch is just a patch of dust. the walk to the bus stop for Pisa was well over half an hour away and we wernt told there is only one road to take as the others are all dead end. the entertainment, or what sounded like the torturing of cats, awful singing, went on until around 1am and was so loud. we were unfortunate to camp quite close as we have a 7 year old who wants to visit the toilets on his own but the noise kept us all awake until the early hours. even when the torturing stop people were shouting and screaming and cars wheel spinning away for a good hour or so after. if your looking for a relaxing holiday don\'t go here. it\'s just awful.
On arrival we were warmly greeted by reception staff
We were shown to lots of pitches by a loony of a driver who said you can park here! here! here! here as he drove at high speed!
We chose our pitch and settled in.
There were hundreds of wild (Bunny rabbits) as we call them in the UK which was very nice to see for the children to befriend and try and feed and cuddle.
Our pitch as many other were dusty and a little cramped by the over hanging trees which made it a hazard as we have a large motor home.
The showers and toilets were clean but you need a micro chip key which is for acsi users for two showers a day.
The pool is lovely with surrounding grass and free loungers to lie on and no music at all during the day which was a relief to be honest as we like our peace and quiet during the day at the pool.
The site is about 2-4 k from the bus route to Pisa. You have to walk along a dirty path with long grass and rubbish which is a shame because the area is a real let down due to being un kept etc.
the bus to Pisa goes from opposite the garage on the roundabout not from outside it as we were informed by the reception staff but we were lucky someone got off the bus so we asked the driver..
Misinformation is so ****** annoying and needs addressing!
They sometimes dont seem to care that much about there guests needs but who pay there wages!!
without us they would be unemployed!
Ps as a foot note we did complain about the speed the man drove on his little buggy around the site! it was dangerous and kicked up a lot of dust over our clean laundry....
We give this campsite 6/10. Noisy until midnight everynight, potholes in the roads that you could lose children in. Such tight turns that people had to unhitch the caravan. Ridiculous. Mosquitoes everywhere. We do not recommend it at all.
Very good site for visits to Pisa and Lucca. Directions given for site do not exist, would appear locals have had some camping signs removed. Map for entrance poor, as better access from other end of campsite. Pitches under trees, access road through them requires care as some lean over roadway. At time over visit even though site had been sprayed against mosquitoes, many were in evidence. Chemical toilet waste is in stupid position, you have to go through the whole of the toilet block to get to it. Check electrical points for ants and other insects before using!
Lovely campsite with large shady pitches. Easy cycle ride to the beach. Easy walk/cycle to the train station with links to Pisa. Toilet facilities very clean although unisex. Token operated showers though tokens provided with overnight rate.
Easy access and level with shade. Shop is good and the staff very helpful. Handy site for a visit into Pisa. Pool is small.
