Basic campsite bordering the Baroque city of Noto. Syracuse is also close by. The enthusiastic owners aim to make it as pleasant as possible for campsite visitors. Vendicari Nature Reserve is a few km to the south. Paid transport to Noto and Vendicari and free transport to the sea.

Travelling party: Couple

This is a lovely site. It is run by more than very friendly people. The site is not one of the high flying places that we all here about. It is small but extremely well run with sanitary facilities basic but with everything you could want. We would STRONGLY RECOMMEND it to anyone visiting the south east of Sicily. We would suggest you ring first because of its size and popularity.7

Travelling party: Couple

This campsite won’t be for everyone but it was one of our favourites in Sicily. Very quiet, even at the weekend, probably because it doesn’t have a pool and the beach is a walk away, although the campsite does provide a free shuttle to the beach. Pitches were very large and divided with shrubbery so quite private. Electricity didn’t trip even when heating hot water. Toilets had toilet seats and toilet paper, which many campsites in Sicily didn’t. Plenty of hot water for showers which didn’t require a token and which you could vary the temperature of. Hot water for washing up. Free, secure WiFi on pitch. We spent 3 nights here and would have happily spent more but wanted to explore more of Sicily. I can highly recommended for those wanting a quiet relaxing stay.

What a gem! Stayed 8 nights ( an extra 6!) lovely pitches lots of hot water. As you shower you can see the sky and lemons hanging from the trees above! Shower and toilet block won’t win any modernity prizes but clean and functioning! Antonio very helpful - will take you to beach for free but we cycled to lido noto -2km. Lovely beach! Noto is the main reason for staying and we cycled there too. Go to free roman villa, nature reserve, Cavagrande Cassibile ( very very long walk down and up!) bar at top and views there are worth it! Wine shop in Avola - with breakwater pier to your back the road facing back to town and shop 50m on left! We ran out of gas and Antonio said “speedy gas”would be here in 20 minutes! Wow! It was and only €20! Our omni step broke and needed welding - Antonio made a call and an hour later 2 blokes turned up took it away and at 9am the next morning returned,fixed , welded and fitted it! This site is one of our favourites we hope to return next year!
