Large heated pool with beach across the road. Swimming hats compulsory for pool. Lovely warm sea. Very hot showers but not enough room to swing a cat. You couldn\'t take anything in with you apart from a towel as there was nowhere to hang toilet bags or clothes without them getting very wet. Light not very good at sinks when it got dark.
Stayed here for 3 nights as great location for exploring Alghero walked there the first time 1.5 hrs sadly the nearest beach swallowed up sea grass. Patches being cleared by bar and restaurant owners and daily lorry loads being taken away. Next day took the bus, tickets 50 cents cheaper if purchased on campsite. Also cycled to bombardy beach along cycle track which had been cleared of sea grass.
This is a great site with the lake one side and the beach across the road. The bus to Alghero stops just outside the site so visiting Alghero is easy.
We stayed for 6 nights and our main issue was that the toilet block closest to us was only cleaned once during that time. The rubbish had built up outside the block as inconsiderate campers used the bin instead of the trash bins sited further away. The loos and showers needed more regular cleaning . I mentioned this to staff on reception who said they would inquire further. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
We stopped here to visit Alghero, but moved on to another ACSI site closer to the town after one night. The camping itself is ok, if a bit characterless, and the staff friendly enough, but we didn\'t like the upselling of one area of pitches for €30 when there were still spaces on the ACSI ones, especially when there wasn\'t a great deal of difference between them. In effect it meant that the centre of the site was rammed and the far block almost empty, which didn\'t seem to make much sense (to us anyway!) Perhaps here supply really does outstrip demand sometimes, but not on our off peak visit in June. There was a separate camping area for dog owners, which we thought was a good idea.
This is my third visit to this campsite and most disappointing mainly because of the hot water or should I say lack of it. Cold showers aren't fun nor washing greasy dishes. The lighting was also off in the washing area which doesn't help. The gym was shut and the restaurant quite expensive as well. A pity as it's a nice site near Alghero.
Very clean site with large camping pitches. Abundant electric and water points. Staff very helpful and always smiling. The beach was not clean from the winter detritus and the sea was still cold but it did not stop us from enjoying the beach area with the magnificent views. Nearby Alghero is beautiful. Will definitely come back.
This site is lovely, very large with the sea just across the road and its own lake. The pitches we were designated were on the side from the lake with good view However the one drawback is that the ACSI rate is only applicable to one 'area' of pitches which I always feel goes against the point of ACSI. The toilets were all very clean and also the showers, they have a fully equipped gym, there is a frequent bus into Alghero for those wanting to save their legs. When we visited in June we were told that if we wanted to be beside the lake we could pay the full price (I can't see why you pay so much more as the pitches weren't any better) Apart from that peculiarity the staff were friendly and helpful and the other facilities were all great.
This site is lovely, very large with the sea just across the road and its own lake. However the one drawback is that the ACSI rate is only applicable to one 'area' of pitches which I always feel goes against the point of ACSI. The pitches we were designated were on the far side from the lake so no view to enjoy, the ground was uneven and not well marked out which resulted in people pitching up right outside your door! The toilets were all very clean and also the showers, they have a fully equipped gym, there is a cycle path that takes you directly in to Alghero (only a couple of miles) and there is a frequent bus for those wanting to save their legs. When we visited in early April we were told that if we wanted to be by the lake we could pay the full price (I can't see why you pay so much more as the pitches weren't any better) but that we were not able to park along the front facing on to the lake as they were all reserved. We stayed for a week but didn't see a single person turn up to use their reservation!? Apart from that peculiarity the staff were friendly and helpful and the other facilities were all great. I'm not sure I'd want to be here in high season though as there are hundreds of pitches and I'm sure you would feel packed in like Sardines!
Great campsite on the lagoon.
Great spot for touring the area. Lovely quiet spot again.
Staff very good.
Fully recommend this one.
