Campsite with basic amenities located directly on the clean, peaceful lake of Mergozzo. Beautiful view of the lake, you can even see the Alps.

Travelling party: Couple
This is wonderful campsite, well organised with numerous toilet blocks. The showers are amazing... better than I\'ve got at home but washing up is with cold water. The lake here is beautifully clean and very pleasant to swim in. The setting, looking out to the mountains is stunning. The down side of this campsite is that walking from the site isn\'t easy. We eventually found a way through the corner of the site, past a nearby restaurant and then through the neighbouring campsite, to their \'dog walk\' which took us to the other side of the lake and enabled us to walk to the village of Mergozzo. This took about 1-2 hours each way. We arrived just before the German school holidays in June and the day after we arrived it was completely full. Check out those dates if you like a truly quiet site.

Travelling party: Group of friends
A shady site right on a quiet small lake that you can swim in. Level pitches, a bit small for large motorhomes. Can be a bit soft under foot when wet, so care need on where to site heavy vans. Occasional sewwer smell with basic facilities. No where hang dry colthes in the shower rooms. Difficult entrance to negotiation across the road. Internet hacked while staying on this site. AND as others have already mentioned on this forum, the owner is very, very grumpy but they keep returning for the excellent surroundings. Better than the international site just down the road.
