Reception staff not very friendly on arrival. Were given arm bands to wear. When I went to reception to ask about cycle routes they refused to talk to me as I wasn't wearing my band! Restaurant good value and small bar was friendly.
Busy campsite lake side close to pretty town of feliogo. We hired a boat for half a day at 99 euros for 4 hours which was a great way to see part of the lake, islands and posh houses. Would certainly recommend - boat yard is part of camping site. Facilities good and staff very efficient at clocking you in and out.
Dogs can't swim from beach but there is a good grass area for them to run. Facilities good with plenty of hot water.
This was the first time that we had arrived at a really busy site and were quite shocked at how many people were there. We didn’t realise that the Italian school holidays had just started and there were just so many people about. We were given a choice of 3 pitches and chose one quite near the Lake. The only problem was the pitches seemed to all have a ramp to get up. With an 8m van we certainly would have really struggled had it not been for using motor movers. The toilets and showers were all excellent. The restaurant and bar looked lovely but we didn’t utilise them as we were there to meet friends. There was a reasonably well equipped shop and although would have liked somewhere less busy, we soon settled in for 2 nights. We were also disappointed that we were not allowed in the Lake with the dog. We had to walk him 20 minutes away before we could let him in the water. There are some beautiful places nearby and we spent a relaxing afternoon at Stresa. If you fancy really treating yourself and pushing the boat out, there is an incredible Michelin quality restaurant called Chi Ghinn in a village called B’ee. Truly an amazing experience if you have a special occasion .

Overall we were very pleased with the Campsite but we suggest booking. It is very popular with Germans and if you can avoid the German school holidays The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our pitch was 4 rows back from the lake half shaded and flat. The pitches have no separation so maybe at peak times it feels a little crowded. The one criticism was that the electric points were not well defined and we were pleased to have an extra lead for the hook up. Toilets (there are plenty) are very good and cleaned frequently. The beach area was very nice and clean. The restaurant was very good value and the service good. The site is well maintained. We will return without hesitation if we ever come that way again.
The site is about 4 Km from Baveno. The bus goes every hour about 800 meters from the site. Baveno has a boat station as well as a train station so boat trips on the lake are easy and the Maggiore Express also starts from either the boat or railway station. The Travel Agent close to the boat station is very helpful (good English spoken) as is the Cafe /Bar next door.
Located on the West Bank of Lake Maggiorre. Access is easy from the motorway but the road into the site from the main road is narrow with only one passing place.
Warm reception from staff and we were invited to select our own pitch. However there were only three vacant, which came as a bit of a shock. It was Easter but we have never found sites particularly full at this time of year. However, this area is very accessible from Germany and they had arrived in force. We arrived at 2pm. If we’d have been half an hour later we would not have secured a pitch.
The pitches are on sandy soil so well drained. We could easily get our caravan, car and awning onto the pitch with room to spare. A lot of people left on Easter Monday which resulted in better views of the nearby mountains. If you want a pitch on the first row adjacent to the lake it’ll cost you extra in the low season. We were happy to use our ACSI card.
The site is very well maintained. The three toilet blocks look as though they have just been repainted and are very clean.
There is a well stocked shop selling goods at reasonable prices. The bar and restaurant are very popular so book a table. There is a varied menu which includes about 20 different varieties of pizza. Two pizzas a small beer and a jug of house wine cost us 32 euro.
It is a short drive into Baveno where you can catch the ferry to the three islands or the ferry which sails the whole length of the lake.
Very nice site, well located, helpful staff happy to recommend.
naprosto čistý kemp, skvělé koupání, dokonalé zázemí, príjemná obsluha, doporučujeme
