Travelling party: Couple

Great site for visiting Orta san Giulio which is a lovely village and only 2km cycle. The site is medium sized an absolutely fine but the pitches in the lake side of the road are very cramped with some road noise. The lake swimming compensates for this though as it’s great to step out of the pitch and straight into the lake. Didn’t try the restaurant so can’t review.

Spent five nights on this delightful site and would have stayed longer had it not been for the forecast rain. We were on the third tier of the main site which is relatively difficult to access - our motorhome is 7.14 metres and I think the maximum is 8. The toilet facilities were lovely and much better than those on the lake side. Bread and croissants from the site shop were delicious. We did a lot of walking with our dog. The first 10 minutes towards orta san giulio were on a busy road but there were lots of footpaths after that especially in the hills above the campsite with some delightful villages and hamlets. We spent one day ferry hopping around the lake - a day ticket. We went on a Thursday so were able to visit the large market at omegna. We loved the area and hope to return.

Wonderful small site with pitches on lake edge. Other pitches across road although site is joined together via a pedestrian tunnel.
Lovely helpful staff.
Village of Orta San Giulio is a 30 minute walk away and is well worth a visit.

Nice well kept campite on both sides of the road, with a tunnel joining the two sides. Very friendly and helpful staff, English spoken in reception. Small shop with good choice. Bar area well laid out and good choice. Terraced site with good views, we were in a camper, so no trouble getting on to a higher pitch, but we did se some larger motorhomes struggle and one scrape his rear corner on the tarmac as he drove up to his pitch. The pitches on the side of the site nearest the lake were very tightly packed, but there is a nice grassy area between the pitches and lake for relaxing on. The lake is clean and the views are great. A lot of road noise especially in the morning. Very modern and well kept toilets/showers which were not charged for, but toilet paper not provided.

Stayed in June 2018, just after the school holidays had started in Italy. The lady in reception was very friendly and spoke good English. We had not booked, but on our arrival she offered us a choice of pitches, and suggested we walk round first to decide which we wanted. The site is terraced, but quite steep. The toilets and showers are some of the best we\'ve seen. Road noise quitens down later on, but there is a train line runs past the top of the site that is quiet frequent. The pitches on the lake side are very small and crowded, and there is a large amount of seasonal caravans with lean to extensions that spoil the site, as the residents don\'t seem to think the noise rules apply to them.

An immaculate site with some amazing pitches. The view from the top of the site is beautiful both in the day and after dark. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lakeside access is very good and our dog was welcome to paddle. The walk to Orta San Guilin takes about 20 to 30 minutes and the town is very picturesque and interesting. However, don't get excited about the Wednesday market!

A lovely site. We stayed in the area by the lake across the road from reception but it has a tunnel to walk through to the main site. Very pretty and quiet even though we were near to the main road. Highly recommended. If time permits park at car park above the town of Orta and walk along lakeside path to the town. You will not be disappointed
