At Campsite Italia Lido in Castelletto sopra Ticino (Novara) camping costs as little as €19,- per night during low season with CampingCard ACSI. Quiet campsite with a beautiful sandy beach on Lake Maggiore. From 2017 the campsite will feature a floating swimming pool on the lake (unique in Europe).

Travelling party: Couple
Unfortunately the weather was awful when we were there, so unable to fully appreciate the possibility of swimming in the lake. The on site restaurant is pretty good and reasonably priced. My only complaint was that €5 extra per night for an extra dog is very excessive. The dog did not have a hot shower, use the electricity, the wifi or any of the toilet facilities! !! Why does the dog have to pay so much?
