Travelling party: Seniors

By Lake Maggiore. On checking in we were told no restaurant, no bread etc as it was so late in the season which contradicted ACSI information. Wash block looks a little tired. Although shower cubicles are outside the block, they are actually self contained pods and are really quite good: modern, hot and clean. Hot showers require a card (available at reception) to be charged with money but ACSI customers get this refunded on leaving the site. There is a beach area where kayaks/ boats can be launched. The big plus for this site is the wonderful view of the lake which is beautiful and a welcome contrast to the bustling Garda.

Travelling party: Seniors

This site is in a really beautiful spot right on the Lake. It is perfect for families and young people but for older people there is less on offer. The pool is a little small, but it is possible to swim in the lake. It is not possible to walk to shops as the road outside the site is fast and there is no pavement. On busy weekends the restaurant seems to be full of large parties, but the food is very good. The location is stunning!

Travelling party: Couple

It is an expensive extra to use wifi here or to have a shower, despite ACSI rules stating a shower should be included, they are not, the toilet block is also in need of an upgrade.
As it was raining during our visit many of the pitches were unusable, there were no hard standing pitches.
We have stayed on numerous ACSI sites on our 4 week tour by motorhome, this was one of our least favourites.
