Excellent site we have visited before. Staff were very helpful. San Facs were very good. Cycle paths were great. Train and bus stops within 200 metres. On site restaurant was good. Lake site pitches (for an extra few Euros) were excellent
We were intending to stay at another site on Lake Iseo, but they were full and suggested we came to this site instead as they established it had some vacant pitches. We preferred this site despite the quirky layout. A small supplement upgraded us to the third row from the lake and further from the road. There is a limited ferry service from Marone. The service is more frequent at weekends and we visited the island. We hope to go back soon.
An excellent site right on lakeside. Beautifully maintained and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
First impressions of the site were not overly encouraging - as mentioned in other reviews close ranks of units giving the appearance of “crowdiness”.
But we opted for a ‘comfort’ pitch which was far more appealing - the onsite pool was not particularly large but was cleaned daily and was a welcome relief given the heat, and we were also easily able to swim in the lake. It was also possible to hire canoes, paddle boards etc.
The toilets and showers were clean. The onsite restaurant was excellent - good food, well priced and served by friendly staff.
A fruit and veg van calls into the site every other day, and there is a cracking market in the local town/village (a 10 minute walk) every Thursday.
Good public transport links from the town - trains to Brescia and Edolo (up in the mountains), buses along the chore of the lake as well boat services.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again
We used San Pietro as a stopover on our journey from Venice to Colmar. The outstanding negative was the pitch size. We appreciate that continental pitches are, generally, smaller than UK ones but San Pietro borders on the ridiculous and, in terms of fire safety, is positively dangerous. We had approx 1 metre gap between our Motorhome and the caravan behind and also the tent in front, and approx 2 metres between us and the caravan at the side. We felt that our every move was watched. The toilets and showers are ok but perhaps a little industrial in appearance (easy to clean I assume). Access to the site from the Autostrada junction at Brescia is...interesting...and probably not worth the effort. Lake Iseo is ok but nothing to write home about...we didn't try the pool or restaurant but probably ok...again looked nothing to write home about. All in all we felt a little ripped off given the cost.
The best camping site where we visited a very good plug-in. Staff are very polite. The best camping site where we visited a very good plug-in. Staff are very polite.
Fabulous campsite. Right on the lake with lots of ducks wandering through the site. Very pretty setting. Owners very helpful and charming. Camp very well organised and best shower and facilities we have come across. Restaurant stunning with the pasta dishes of excellent quality - we ate there more often thanwe should have! Bread and croissants can be ordered.
Village very close with good SPAR shop, excellent cycle paths which were also Good for walking the dog. Good local walks although we had rain.
Couldn't recommend this site more, best we have been to. HOWEVER take the main route to VELLO and then go down coast to MARONE rather than the stat nav route via narrow windy roads.
Great pitches with a spacious layout optimized for the view of the lake. Very helpful staff and good facilities. Nothing to complain about!
