Chose this site at the last minute and what a gem it is. A really family run friendly site whose owners spoke excellent English and gave us a welcome drink on arrival. Entrance is across a railway line and quite tight for a large motor home but glad we made it. Wonderful location right by the lakeside, you can swim in the lake but it is very stony (water shoes advised). You will hear the bells clanging on the gates when a train is coming but the noise didn't bother us. Pitches quite close together (as seem most ASCI sites) and wifi good and free. Toilets (they have seats and also some of the Italian squats) and showers were very clean. The Saturday we arrived was a get together evening with a free meal from the restaurant of local Italian dishes (most of the campsite attended) followed by singing and dancing - great evening. Had meal in restaurant on Sunday - superb and very good prices.
Site very popular and became full on the Sunday (mid June) so may be advisable to book.
Small and very friendly site, excellent views across the lake, our pitch was right on the lake. Slightly sloping site, requires level chocks, good toilet facilities and showers, motorhome point. We would revisit this site. Easy to walk into Iseo which was a lovely place.
On arrival we were invited to have a drink of coffee or a glass of wine before pitching, this was a first and set the tone for our time there. It is a family run site and Luca makes you feel part of the family, and I can say we have never felt so warmly welcomed at any other site, so we extended our stay by another tow days. Luca put on an (Italian) Mothers Day party and on another day a wine tasting event. The site has views to die for, comparable with the other Italian Lakes.
I recommend this site and am sure you will come away feeling good about your visit
This site is excellent. The staff are really helpful and speak very good English. If you're lucky you'll get a pitch right on the edge of the lake or you might have to wait a day or two and move pitches when one becomes available.
Lots of cycling around the lake and on the island.
Iseo is nicely buzzing.
Beautiful setting. Wake up and dive into the lake, 20*C in June.
The road can be a bit noisy but earplugs solve that.
Spent 8 days here late May, the site was busy but we had a wonderful pitch by the lake, fabulous views. The site is kept very clean and tidy by Luca and his staff who are all very helpful and friendly and can speak English. You are escorted to your pitch and told where to park, this works very well giving everyone the optimum space and view. The restaurant is very good and reasonably priced, it's a 20 minute walk into a pleasant town with a good supermarket and independent shops plus the port for ferry trips round the lake. To ensure a pitch, especially lakeside it is best to book as this site is very popular.
We have stayed at many ACSI sites across Western Europe as this is probably the best we have stayed at.
Luca and his team were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. Wasn’t busy in April so we chose a lakeside pitch with blow you away views for a small extra fee. Pitch was rather wet when we arrived, but we were given a plastic sheet to put under our groundsheet. Toilets were always spotless, and were cleaned constantly. Bar and restaurant were superb, food was excellent and good value.
The town of Iseo was well worth a visit, lots of shops and eateries. There is a small port where one can catch a boat to adjoining lake side villages, but also to the island you can see from the campsite.
When we are next in the Italian lakes this will be our site of choice.
Unsecured ACSI card booking accepted. a supplement for lakeside pitch. Pitches very small but this is my only complaint about this wonderful site. Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Toilet blocks are modern and kept spotless. Restaurant is reasonably priced and of a very high standard. Site shop is well stocked with basics. Swimming in the lake is a must. We only stayed two nights because an earlier reviewer had mention the noise from the nearby railway line. We didn\'t find this a problem and would definitely stay longer on another visit. It\'s about a twenty five minute walk into Iseolo with access to lake ferries.
Beautiful site and location, well managed and maintained. Good food and drink available at the restaurant at reasonable prices. Due to imminent opening of Christo's floating pontoons, the site was crammed. To make it worse, each time we had a day out in our van, on return, people were sunbathing in out pitch. Add to that how nasty they were when asked to move - really spoilt our stay.
Absolutely not the fault of the site management, just surrounded by rude and ignorant people who liked to sit on a patch of grass all day.
Not the closest campsite, with a 15 min road walk in, but well run and lovely views. Excellent free WiFi at your pitch. A good choice for Isio and boat tours from there.
What a fabulous site. Pitches right by lake with amazing views and access to the lake for swimming. Good cycle path into Iseo and opportunities to take bikes on ferry to Isola Monte. Lakeside restaurant excellent, far superior to the atmosphere of most campsite restaurants. All the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Toilet and washing facilities adequate and always very clean. We love this campsite and will be sorry to leave!
