We spent a week at this site. The website is misleading that's near the beach as it not walkable. The site is high in the mountains on a steep and windy road. The campsite is not suitable for touring caravans as it was tricky and incredibly hard to get in our of the tiny pitches. Also, with the site being on such a steep hill makes it even hard to pitch up. We also met a couple who banged their caravan due to the hill and losing control. Staff are lovely and friendly, as is the lady n the shop/bar. Beautiful views from the bar. The pool wasn't open when we went at the end of May. Felt quite secluded there, couldn't walk anywhere outside of the site (too dangerous on the road). Most of the site is full of static caravans with huts built on the side, some quite scruffy. Nice enough, but wouldn't go back or recommend taking a caravan there.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The placement was ideal , the sink and tap were a very thoughtful addition. Lovely setting Would definitely come again.
When we arrived we thought this was a great site, a lovely welcome from a helpful female member of staff with excellent English. I later enquired about Cinque Terre train tickets and got little help from the male member of staff. We used the free shuttle next day with 2 other couples. The unmanned station did have English instructions so we were luckier than the Belgians and Swiss, although the instructions for the tickets were unclear to those not used to the Italian system. We purchased what we thought were the correct tickets for our visit then proceeded to validate them with the Belgian couple. Finally a cleaner helped us sort out how to present the ticket to the machine NOT obvious at all. The Swiss couple spent so long sorting out the machine, had to wait another hour for the next train. The trains were packed as were the towns. One our return journey we found out to our huge expense that the tickets were time limited and not suited to hop on hop off as expected. To cap it all the camp wi fi was insufficient to update windows which didn\'t give me the option not to update so I lost all of my planning and had to pay for windows to be re installed -a memorable but not a happy experience- too expensive. I gather the Cinque Terre are best viewed from the sea but the only available boat trip stopped 2 hour in one town and 4 hours in another; not really what we wanted. Very disappointed as this was one of the main attractions of our journey to Italy.
We spent a wonderful honemoon week there in our own tent. The pitch was quite small but enough for us. Unfortunately there was no grass on our pitch but pebbles. Running water located on a pitch which was helpful.
Toilets were acceptable.
The swimming pool was just awesome- clean and with beautiful view, guarded. Swimming caps required. Well equipped camping shop with fresh bread daily. A nice bar with a good and cheap coffee.
Really friendly staff. Entrance opened with a token.
Free shuttle bus to Riga Trigoso.
Very nice campsite. Shower block always clean, toilet paper provided. Shop & bar provide most day to day needs, local town has larger supermarkets etc. Views of mountains & sea are beautiful. pitch was large and shaded. Entrance is steep, but was easily negotiated, however, parked cars make it feel more difficult to get a large van through ( reception has the car keys so they can be moved if necessary). WiFi free but intermittent.. Owners very helpful about visits, minibus to the station to visit Cinq Terre. Nice site, we would stay again.
stayed here on route to italy august 2015. it was very hot so decided to stay here as it was bit cooler up in the mountain. lovely views. if u have a very big camper can be bit hilly. swimming pool lovely overlooking the sea. lady in reception very helpful. thought price was reasonable as italy can be expensive anyway. loved the fact every pitch has a sink and water tap. toilets spotless...showers bit weird only allow so many minutes per shower but i guess water must be costly..would highly recommend. be back next year!
Great staff who took us to and collected us from the local train station in order for us to visit Cinque Terre (which is fabulous). The showers are timed (4 minutes) but that was more than enough. What is more irritating is there being only one hook in the small shower cubicles which means stuff may get wet. We noticed a number of other campers going for a shower in swim wear! The pool looked lovely although we didn’t use it. Likewise with the bar / pizzeria. The small shop appeared well stocked for its size in basics.
Stayed here in 6m Motorhome September 2019 for 2 nights. Staff were nice and friendly and could speak English, my Italian being very poor. There is a minibus that will take you into town I think. The site is just off a twisty road that goes up south of the main town. I found that I missed it driving up the hill and so had to turn around further up and access it coming back down the hill which was an easier way to get in as I was able to just pull in on my side of the road. The site had a nice swimming pool, a shop/bar restaurant. The showers took me a while to work out but were then fine. The pitch had water and a sink and electric hookup. My only negative was that the pitches were all very close and I had a job getting my van out when I moved on. A note to myself to make sure that I can manoeuvre the van both in and out before choosing a pitch!
Excellent site after traveling through rain for 3 days. Tight access off the road and to pitches on the site. Great views across the bay to Portofino.
Lovely pool with lifeguard on duty. Be aware that you are required to wear a swim cap. Although we did not visit the on-site bar/cafe it was very popular with other campers.
This is a well run site and we were very pleased to get a good sized pitch on firm flat ground under shade. The entrance barrier is activated by a token which is given out at registration. The staff here were excellent both in handling our initial booking, pitch selection and very very good in their provision of information on the surrounding area. The road up to the site is steep, but no more so than many other main roads in the area. The turn in and entrance were fine and we were easily able to get onto our pitch. The site was quite busy whilst we were there in May especially at the weekend when the Italians with fixed sites turned up. Toilets and showers were well kept and we didn’t have any problems with the 4 minute timers on the showers. Some wash basins with hot water, some with cold only. Toiler paper in the loos. We did have problems with ants here but solved with ant powder around steadies, wheels and power cable. The pool was closed as expected but appeared to be fully ready and very inviting as the temperature rose. Wifi coverage was excellent..
The site operates a free shuttle to the nearby Riva Trigano station for trains to the Cinque Terre which was helpful. We arranged to be picked up from a specific train and the bus was there even though the train was 15 minutes late. On site shop was well stocked and fresh bread daily.
