A peaceful campsite with a swimming pool, located 10 km from Grado and about 7 km from the sea. Plenty of grass and lovely shaded pitches. There is a supermarket opposite the campsite. There is a large culture park right next to the site with Roman excavations.

My second visit here (last visited in 2018) and nothing has changed much, still a nice relaxing site. Tree canopy is dense so it’s a great location in hot conditions but maybe not so good if wet? The pool was being made ready for opening (probably 1st June?) but not actually open - look good though. Sanitation is perfectly adequate and no annoying push buttons on the showers!
Nice site, I recommended it in my 2018 review and would continue to do so now.

Monica Tonnoni who runs the site was very helpful and friendly. Free Wifi-we were given passwords for each device but the Wifi was weak. Old fashioned, unheated facilities outside. Small shower cubicles with plenty of hot water and good wet/dry separation. No toilet paper, soap or paper towels /hand driers, therefore you need to take all that with you when you use the facilities. Outside washing up facilities. Only one block open in low season. Washing machine can be used on request a token for E5. However, there are plenty of washing lines. Hand washing (clothes) facility only has cold water so you need to take a bowl to fill up under the hot dishwashing tap.
Grass and mainly uneven pitches, quite open surrounded by fields so when the wind blows it’s quite chilly. Electricity supply 6 amp and tripped quite a lot. Very convenient to see Roman Aquileia with free access to outdoor sites. Worth getting the Fruglia FVG card gaining access to various museums, galleries etc with 48 hr or 1 week options.

A great little campsite, friendly staff and excellent to access the superb Roman ruins on the doorstep. A charming little town and a beautiful Basilica. The swimming pool looks good but not open at this time of year.
