Travelling party: Couple
First off beautiful location. Arrived 3pm been rainng for two days. Told me it extra on a.c.si. because I was 8meters long. Then said pick your pitch and come and pay.Because it was so wet I said let in with the van so that I van make sure I can get on the pitch with £100,000.00 Mother Home. There was an Italian Motor setting up on the road. He said can\'t let the van in until you have paid
Would not return with that out look. Shame he lost at least one night revenue and the meals we would have bought.

Travelling party: Seniors
This is a peach of a site if you close your ears to the sound of the Auto Via a few hundred yards away. Set on the shores of a beautiful clear blue lake this site is rustic but nonetheless charming for that. The pitches are all grass and not separated with planting. The toilet facilities were basic but clean with plentiful hot water. TThe chemical toilet waste point is just a grid in the ground behind the shower block. Talking to one of the owners sons there are plans to update the sanitary facilities over this winter. There is a bar/restaurant en site serving a limited menu. The best part of the whole place is the lake (Bloody freezing) and the walks round it. There are pools with Carp and Terrapins swimming and lots of places to stop and enjoy the scenery.

Of the campsites we stayed in in Italy this was the nicest.
Sanitary facilities were new and spacious with plenty of hot water (although loo paper wasn\'t provided - seems to be the norm for Italy).
We had read that it was ok for a stopover but when we arrived it was much nicer than expected; with a pretty lakeside location and a nicely set out bar area.
The site was popular with kayakers and the lake was popular with locals - so a pleasant change from just \"oldies in motorhomes\".

Stayed here at the end of July on a whim, turned out to be one of the nicest little sites we have visited and this was number 40 in 4 months of touring. Very quiet, beautiful surroundings with lovely walks. The guy on reception speaks great English. Not much food on offer but we knew that so stocked up just before we arrived. Walked into Alesso, if you head for the centre of the village then bear right towards the town hall type building next to the old washing fascilities you will see the sign for the nature park. Follow the track for 5 minutes and you come to a stunning mountain river, go a bit further and you can swim ( bit chilly ), fantastic place. My husband got in with our dog and swam , they both loved it. Nice little supermarket on the outskirts too with lovely friendly staff.

From Villach take A23 direction Udine. Exit at Gemona-Osoppo. Take SS13 towards Trasaghis and continue on the SR512 until Alesso. Campsite signposted. There are two campsites side by side, this one is the second site on the left when coming from the north.
