All the charm of a POW camp! Campsite or building site. Beach and pavement full of rubbish. Toilet wouldn't flush. shower 1 of only 3 not working after getting undressed then realised closed sign ripped off. Sea view of wire and bin bag over electricity. Shop only sold bread no basics like shampoos. Spending lots on new buildings and ignoring existing customers and quality of existing surroundings and beach.Oh and sex workers every 100 yards on the road. However...great meal at nearby Hotel Olympique!

This site is ok. Parked with a view of the sea and the beach you can ignore the rest.
Site has bar and restaurant, we didn\'t use these but they were busy, but then there is nothing else nearby.
Toilets are grim, no seats, no toilet paper, no soap, we just used camper toilet.
Showers gave hot water, but were grim and scary and dilapidated.
Beach was nice and had good swim in the sea. Fine for 1 night

I stayed at this site for five nights and am unable to rate the child friendliness or the sport facilities but can highly recommend this site if you are looking to be close to Roman excavations and the town of Salerno. Although local bus services are unbelievably inexpensive and efficient I would think the site is better appreciated by camper or caravan users, unless you are happy to use the motorhome for your daily travels. Southern Italy suffers from lack of rubbish clearing and the maintenance of roads with many buildings in advanced states of disrepair but on this site although facilities are dated they are functional and kept spotlessly clean. The staff are fantastic and so helpful with anything you wish to get help with, do not miss out on some very interesting and tasty food at a sensible price. I was not so fortunate as to have a beachside pitch, perhaps you should ask if one is available as the view would make you want to stay in bed and gaze out of the window a while longer.
