Very pleasant site across main road from beach and with tunnel under road to beach. On same site as a hotel and holiday apartments with some shared facilities but separate swimming pools although they are side by side. There are pitches in varying amounts of shade but they are small. We couldn’t have fitted camper, awning and car in any of them but site wasn’t full. No water points in the site so had to transport it from the main block. This had good toilets and showers and some wash basins had hot water. Good refuse points with recycling separation. Also five washing machines which were free. Wifi was also free but connection was erratic although we could get connected from our pitch. Evening musical entertainment was not as loud as at other sites we’ve been to which we appreciated. Only the lower level of the site was open although we did walk up to the rest of the site which is huge although some of it at the top end looks disused. Reception was efficient and friendly and spoke good English and give a quick tour of the site on their electric buggies so we could get an idea of where to pitch. Ants and mosquitos were an issue but this seems a common problem on most of the sites we’ve visited. Whilst we were there they sprayed the site to keep down the mossies. Good sandy beach with public area and many lidos. Well stocked mini market which sold campingaz refills and restaurant pizzas were good and reasonably priced. Having a dedicated tourer site and no permanent caravan units made a pleasant atmosphere.
Nice site, beach across the road and short walk in to Vieste.
Plenty of room on pitches mid Sept. Bit muddy.
Swimming pools are great, one heated, one not.
Only downer is the toilets - hours in the ground or seat less, with no toilet paper or soap.
Good hot water showers
