Very large, plenty of shade. Staff very helpful. Great shop. Bus to Vieste. check market days as Vieste has brilliant market. Perfect for people who don’t want bouncy castles and sandy beaches.
Beautifully situated in Alleppo pine wood which provides well needed shade. Stunning beaches complete with a couple of swimmable islands. Windsurfing and kayaks for hire so you can visit caves along the shore. Decent shop and restaurant . Roomy pitches.
We had a most enjoyable 5 night stay on this campsite (we had originally planned to stay for 2 or 3 nights). Lovely setting amongst pine and olive trees on the impressive Gargano coast with pebble beach (our favourite sort!). Friendly, helpful staff, well stocked shop and good restaurant and bar. Free bus pass into Vieste available. We hope to return.
Good place if you want entertainment (and don't mind it is in Italian only), especially for children.
If you want some peace and quiet at night, then I suggest to go somewhere else. The entertainment music goes on till around 11:30 p.m. or till midnight and can be heard throughout the camp site. Some other guests too can be loud at night, sometimes untill early morning hours.
The information on eurocampings.co.uk web site shows there is a trailer slope but there isn't any. There is only a wood-covered path that can be used for small boats but it ends some 10 metres from the sea. If you have a boat, you will have to carry it through the pebble beach in and out of the sea. You will have to do this every day because boats are not allowed to be anchored in the sea during night. Luckily, other guests are happy to help.
The toilets are cleaned very often and are nicer and more clean than expected for a camping site. We did, however, miss hot water which is available in the showers only.
All in all, we felt the prices are overrated, although many other campings in Gargano are even more expensive.
