Very convenient stop off after going through the Mont Blanc tunnel. We wanted to have an early start the next day to get through Milan on a Sunday morning and so had a pitch right at the entrance to the campsite. Aosta is an interesting town with Roman ruins worth seeing.
A well located campsite with a few shops and restaurants close by. We were only going to stay one night but decided to stay two because we wanted to explore the area. The campsite is well maintained with good size pitches. The owners were very welcoming and kept the campsite clean. We cycled along the cycle path to Saint Marcel, which ran along the river. Very flat and the cycle path is located 1km from the campsite. The nearest supermarket is 2km away and there is a fantastic pizzeria called Pizza & Love which is a 2 minute walk from the campsite. You can either eat in or take out and they are great value. We’d recommend this campsite but don’t forget your cents for the showers!
Malin and Francesca run a great campsite at Camping Monte Bianco. They make you very welcome, cannot do enough for you and nothing is too much trouble. They both work very hard to maintain a great standard of cleanliness. They even have time for you once their very long working day is done. The price is very reasonable and very convenient to visit Mont Blanc which is a MUST DO. There is also a fabulous Pizza restaurant 3 minutes from the camp and a great supermarket 5 mins away in the car. We had a great stay here and would definitely return if in the area again. We thoroughly recommend this site 10⭐️. Keep up the great work guys you are an amazing team. Sue & Mick Jones from UK.
We stayed here for 6 nights. Very friendly managers - nothing was too much trouble. Although close to motorway, fast flowing river drowned out most of the road noise. Pitches surrounded by trees giving welcome shade. Also well positioned for one night stopovers.
No soap or toilet paper in the loos ever, take your own. Very little to do around the immediate area. Just a useful stopover on the way to somewhere else. The drive down the Valley was lovely.
lovely quiet site, only noise was from the river, which was very noisy but only served to help you sleep at night. we were bitten quite a bit so remember repellent. no food on site but short walk to restaurants, bars and supermarket. The cascades at Lillaz are worth a visit as is Skyway Mont Blanc. breathtaking views (but if weather is bad, don't go!)
This was an immaculate grassed site with slightly sloping pitches (level chocks required but only slight slope) the owner was lovely and kept this site immaculate. It was the nicest toilet/shower/wash area we had seen. The showers were very well kept and you can start and stop them during that 5 minutes. It is near the A5 so we heard some road noise from our pitch, its right by the river and to the side of the site is a river feed from the mountains, which when we were there in early June was rushing water. There is free wifi and a good supermarket less than 1km from the campsite. For a 2 star site we thought it was excellent and we would stay again.
My wife and I camped here in August 2013. We used as a base for day long road cycling trips.
The camping pitches are beautifully maintained, grassy and with excellent shade from the sun provided by the mature trees.
The location is good, very relaxed feel. It is quiet close to a busy road but you wouldn't know it once you are on the site. As others have said, the owner and his family are charming and helpful people; never in your face, but there to lend a friendly hand if needed.
Toilets and wash facilities are fine; not amazing, but clean and perfectly adequate.
The price for a tent and a car was very reasonable.
Aosta is a lovely city, 40 mins walk. Great pizzas in the main square and even better ice cremes at the shops in the narrow winding streets.
Cycled the Great St.Bernard Pass into Switzerland, what an amazing road, stunning scenery.
In summary, we only intended staying here for a couple of nights; ended up staying the 10 remaining days of our holiday. Says it all really!
A spectacular site in an amazing location. We really enjoy staying here every year, Cesare and Milan can not do enough for their guests and Aosta is a gorgeous Roman town with lots to see, Cogne is also well worth the drive to see the Cascata Lillaz. We hope to return in 2014.
A very well-kept site in a stunning part of the world. Wherever you sit on site you will be surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The 1st morning here, sitting outside eating breakfast, we felt as if we were sitting in an Alpen advert. Cesare is a lovely man who is always available to help and always has a cheeky smile on his face. Toilets were kept immaculately clean but you will have to pay for a shower. Wifi is free, unlimited and available in the van.
