A lovely setting with lots of space in mid June. Unfortunately the weather has been unfavourable and we’ve had afternoon rain on both days of our stay. Lots of local walks if that’s what you like, but not great for cycling. Small bar/shop sells (quite expensive) bread in the morning and there is a small restaurant which we didn’t try. The scenery is fabulous and you can take a day drive around the national park, visiting the local towns and villages. There was no hot water available at all during our stay, but one of the staff came round to each camper personally and explained/apologised. There is a large washing machine and a tumble dryer available. If the weather had been nicer, we’d have been happy to stay a bit longer.
Basic campsite in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant. The facilities are adequate and clean. The campsite was very quiet during my stay. The bar opened on request and the restaurant was open from 7 pm for decent food. Wifi only at the restaurant/terrace. Lots of cats and a friendly little dog who personally welcomed every new arrival. Overall a nice, informal and calm place to stay for a few nights.
Lovely campsite in beautiful setting. Restaurant had excellent food. Toilet washing up facilities good. Excellent walk just out of the campsite on the left is the park with excellent not too taxing walks. Would defiantly recommend. We stat 3 nights. Lots of ponies, pigs, ducks and cats as well as other wild life
Poorly maintained site at this time of year. Electrical boxes taped together. No where to wash up. Lovely mountains . Poor neglected animals in dirty enclosures.
Originally booked in for 2 nights but enjoyed our time and stayed an additional night. Located in the heart of the Abruzzo National park with some fantastic walks near to campsite through the most beautiful scenery. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Will be stopping again on our way home.
Lovely campsite well placed for access to walks in the national park. Excellent restaurant with very helpful staff. Impressive mountain scenery. Well run working farm.
Pleasant campsite on the main road just past Opi - little road noise but occasional animal noise from the geese or donkey in residence. The pig/boar was very quiet! The hardstanding pitches to the left of reception were difficult to get into and we only have a small van. It is not really wide enough as we then had to get out onto wet grass as it had rained. The toilet/shower block was OK and probably heated in winter but no hooks or shelves in the showers - just hooks in the corridor bit running alongside the showers which meant that if someone opened the inner door to the shower section and the outer door was also open - we could be seen! Very convenient for sightseeing and particularly for the Abruzzo park area with walks just a few metres down the road. Lukewarm to cold water for washing up and wifi only available at the bar/restaurant area. However the problem with this campsite is the cassette toilet emptying at the motorhome service point which appears to be very old and drains into the river!!! The mesh covering the drain is not a good idea and it is generally quite disgusting and should not have passed an inspection. We also found that people had been emptying the cassette toilet down the grey water drain which did not appear to go into the river but there is no tap or flush so that waste just sits there. This must be rectified urgently.
Pleasant site with acceptable facilities. Had a nice meal in the restaurant and heard the wolves but never saw them or the Bears!
Good, basic site located in attractive surroundings within National Park (Park info centre & walks nearby). Reasonable, well-maintained sanitary facilities. Friendly & very helpful owner, who speaks good English. We would use site again.
