Welcoming family campsite located in a beautiful forest on the Lough Ennell. Plenty of options for swimming, surfing, sailing, fishing, walking and making excursions to historic places. Toilet facilities are dated, but clean. Campsite has various pitches for tents, motorhomes and caravans. These are located on well-maintained grass fields (with shelter among trees).

Travelling party: Seniors

The site is near a lake for walks and fishing, but there is no nearby village. Mostly statics, with some touring pitches, both hard-standing and grass.
The cafe, with book-swap and local info, was open.
Adequate toilets and refurbished coin-op showers. Outdoor washing up sinks but no kitchen.
No internet or WiFi at all.
Overpriced for a basic campsite.

This evaluation has been obtained by our inspector from a questionnaire at the camp site.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

No supervision on camp site so noisy neighbours have a great time. No key security access into camp site or toilet blocks. Men\'s toilet block had 4 cubicles and one toilet seat - not good and a could have been cleaner. Has a four star rating on their own website - nearer 2 star in my opinion.
Dearer than higher rated and better sites. Won\'t be returning!
