Travelling party: Couple

The touring pitches offered were limited and a long walk from the sea and other facilities. Pitches were small and cramped. Heavy rainfall on the night we arrived caused a dead branch of a tree to come crashing down on top of us. The maintenance staff came to cut away some of the branches to make it safe, but whilst this was done, we were left parked across the road, in the dark with no electricity. A busy site, but only one washing machine working! The swimming pool was dominated by children.

This campsite managed the tricky balance of being well and efficiently run whilst feeling very relaxed to stay on. All the facilities are clean, modern and convenient. The site itself is charming with a lot of trees and plants whilst opening directly onto a sandy beach. Reception and leaving was easy and staff were helpful. A lovely experience altogether.

The charm of this campsite is that it feels very relaxed but is clearly well run. The pitches are large and minimally marked which means you can park at the angle that suits you. Shade and grass on most of the pitches. Quite busy and the restaurant was open even at this time of year. The food was excellent, nicely served and very reasonable price. Toilet and washing facilities were excellent and there were large fridges and gas hobs for cooking on. Two nice little touches - plugs in the washing up sinks and a hand dryer/soap in the toilets! You walk straight out onto the beach which is long and sandy. We didn\'t use the pool but it looked lovely with plenty of areas to sit round it. We didn\'t come with children but there were plenty on site and it was obvious that they were having a great time. The pool, an area for small children to play, cycling round the site, table tennis, table football etc. The service area was well maintained and easy to use. I couldn\'t fault this site, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
