Well positioned site. But with only one shower block (which is by reception and a long walk away from most pitches ) containing 8 male & 8 female showers witch are timed and have to have a token for over 200 pitches. Also charged for rubbish bag that you must only put “remainders “ in .Also very small pitches crammed together. Very disorganised checkout process and narrow access road which gets blocked by caravans and Motorhomes arriving so you can’t get out, from start to finish checking out took us nearly 1hour. Not coming back again and wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone.
We stayed here for a week in mid May 2018 and thought it was the most beautiful location right on the banks of the Moselle. The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful. The toilet and shower facilities were consistently being cleaned and were immaculate. Good food in the restaurant. We were very lucky to get a pitch right on the waterfront and yes we were quite squeezed in by the time we left but it didn’t seem to worry anyone else so it didn’t bother us. We might have struggled to hook up when we left but the lovely other campers rallied to help us manoeuvre our caravan to hook up. Lovely site and surroundings and would definitely return given the chance.
An excellent site with friendly owners and spotless toilets / showers. Variety of pitches on offer we paid the small amount extra and had a pitch facing the Mosel.
A very warm welcome. friendly, helpful staff and good facilities, has good clean toilets and washrooms, well stocked on site shop and plenty of information on local areas from reception. defiantly worth a visit ****
Friendly and helpful staff. Facilities good. As another reviewer says the site is very regimented. Every square inch is used. Pitches are very, very close. Mostly German or Dutch visitors, we saw only 1 other UK plate. No information to speak of in English as it was 'not cost effective' I was told. Our pitch was on the front row by the river. A perfect view but it totally blocked those 10 feet behind us. Would use it as an overnight again.
A busy campsite which is run in a regimental way to optimise the profitability of the business. The pitches are not the biggest and indeed are cramped in many places. It is known as little Holland and indeed most were Dutch visitors during our stay. We were the only English on site. The site is in a lovely location close to two villages with a bus service from both. The owners and staff spoke English and were very pleasant and helpful. The only toilet block is at the top of the site close to the reception area, always very clean and first class condition. Plenty of hot water always available for washing up etc. There is a 1 euro charge for non recyclable waste bags which must be used. Electricity is limited to 4 wats per day which on bleak days means you go over the allowance quite easily. Overall a good place to visit. Full motorhome facilities.
Stayed here for 3 nights in our motorhome. Beautiful campsite at the side of the Mosel where you can watch the river cruisers and barges go by all day long. Excellent sanitary facilities and first class grocery shop. Owners very helpful. Mainly hardstanding pitches. Public transport within 10 minutes walk to Cochem one way and Bullay/Alf the other. Highly recommend this site for anybody who is looking for beautiful location and peace and quiet. If we travel this region again will definitely go back.
