Very helpful site owner/manager, as we had not booked in advance and arrived just after sunset due to traffic problems in Belgium. Site in wonderful position in wooded valley, which in early part of year gets very cold overnight, so heating required. Electric cost after allowance is at 50 cents per KWh, so can cost a bit on a long stay. Price is marked down because of electrical costs. It is an area we will return to when the weather is warmer and explore the area.

A real gem of a site. Peaceful. Good facilities and very friendly, helpful staff. Lots of great walking and cycling opportunities on marked trails all around. We found the walk into town pleasant and easy whichever route we took. Contrary to another review here, we found the WiFi cheaper than any other campsite on our 6 week trip. The same as we had paid for just 2 hours elsewhere. We loved every minute of our stay and plan to return very soon.

A picuresque site in a wooded valley. The centre of Saarburg is a must visit. It's a very easy walk into centre (I think I read a review which said it was difficult but cannot imagine which route was taken). Also easy walk to large supermarket. Easy to exercise the dog just outside the entrance.
The showers, although not new, were as spacious as any we have used.
Wifi was strange. If you pay for an hour, it is a continuous hour; you cannot logoff and use unused time later. It didn't work well.

A nice site close to the picturesque town of Saarburg. Friendly English speaking owner, happy to help in any way she could. Plenty to see within motoring distance of the site, including Trier and Luxembourg. The area is rather hilly, and walking would be difficult for anyone with disabilities. A recommended site for the area.

We were disappointed at the length of the uphill/downhill walk into town, it was much longer than we had anticipated. Had the weather been worse we may given up and missed the waterfall and picturesque old part of town, on the opposite edge to the site.
