This site is very good, we had a nice welcome in reception and were allowed to choose our pitch. The toilet facilities here will put some 4* hotels to shame!
This campsite is fantastic. The pool is probably one of the best of the hundreds of campsites we have stayed at. the sanitary facilities are spotless. One block is brand new. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. We have travelled all over Europe and the restaurant is among the best we have ever eaten at, and this includes some top notch French restaurants. We haven\'t commented on the child aspects as our children are grown up and didn\'t holiday with us. If ever you stay in the south Eifel you should stay here. Oh and no we don\'t have any relationship to the site owners, they are lovely people. Although the owner did have a long face after Germany\'s world cup exit! Chris & Margaret.
From the direction of Bitburg you approach the village via a hairpin bend so take care. As you approach the village the access road is the third street on the left. The campsite is at the end of the street.
The receptionist spoke excellent English and provided lots of information about the site and the area.
We were allocated a pitch close to the river. It was early May so not very busy but I suspect it might get very cosy in summer.
We used the new toilet block which was extremely well appointed and had underfloor heating.
Lots of facilities for families including football pitch, play ground and pool. We ate at the site restaurant and it was excellent. Good menu and food well prepared.
Being so early we had to have the heating on overnight. Which was fine until we paid the bill. We were charged an extra for electricity. This was not explained to us when we arrived so beware.
The only criticism I can make is,there little in the local area to do or see though I believe there are some hiking routes, but as it’s 30* I’ll just sit around the pool.
We stayed here for 4 nights in June on a pitch by the river. There had been a lot of rain before we arrived and it rained a lot while we were there the pitch became very wet with pools of water on it but it didn't get too boggy or muddy. The toilet and wash facilities were superb and as good as any I have come across. We had a meal in the restaurant although it wasn't the cheapest it was very good and I would recommend it. The staff were all very helpful and spoke very good English. Access to the site was very good. Although our pith was a bit on the small side it was adequate for our 7 metre caravan but having to keep the acces road clear and with our car on the pitch we didn't have room to pitch the awning. We never had any problem with the electric and the wi-fi was ok. Not much to see in Oberweis but lots more a bit further away and a visit to Bernkastel is highly recommended. If I am in this area again I would defiantly use Prumtal camping
We stayed here in mid June for 2 nights during a German school holiday. The site was busy, but we couldn’t fault it. The site is ideal for families. The pitches are large. The staff in site were all friendly and helpful.
Lovely campsite in a lovely village. We should have stayed longer,as Trier has been recommended. Probably the best shower/wc facilities we've seen. Nice walks in the surrounding area and the pool looks great, but we didn't use. Bar/restaurant really good, which was good as they were the only ones in the village.
