Not too bad for our first camping experience in Germany. They guy seemed very proud to say the showers were free. Tip toilets at the entrance better then the middle of the campsite. Lovely views of the river and mountain. tad difficult to get to in a caravan maybe...
Lovely setting for this site next to the Lahn. We had a pitch next to the river which was spacious and comfortable. 6 amp electricity on the site so needs watching to ensure you don\'t blow the fuse. Wifi was 5 euros for 3 days. Signal was ok near reception but hardly reaches pitches. Staff really helpful and spoke good English. Site runs alongside river. On opposite bank is a road and there is a bit of noise. Train tracks also run alongside site but trains are fairly infrequent so we didn\'t get disturbed by them.
Great for cycling to Koblenz (approx 10km along a mostly flat cycle path). Lovely city and well worth a visit. If you go 10km the other way along the cycle path you can visit the beautiful town of Bad Ems. There\'s even a Beatles Museum there - home from home !!!
Toilet and shower facilities were clean, modern and free to use. Water costs 50 cents for 80 litres.
Don\'t be put off by the road nearby. This is a nice site well worth a visit. We didn\'t use the public transport because it was such a nice bike ride.
Aldi, Lidl and Globus Baumarkt (a large hypermarket) were all close together within a couple of miles of the site (on Koblenz Strasse). There are a few Globus sites but the one to go for is the Baumarkt.
Glorious April sunshine always makes places look and feel better but this site is well worth a visit. We didn\'t use the restaurant but it looked really nice. Little bar terrace outside too if the weather is good.
Access to the site is a bit tight but worth it.
We stayed here for only one night but it was very nice location next to a river and the people were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us on a very very busy day at the camp site in early September, facilities were all clean and modern but the cheery on the cake was the restaurant we had our best meal here on our tour of Europe, I observed all the dishes coming out of the restaurant and all were very well presented we had schnitzel with sour cherries and it was a great combination fantastic.
Stopped for one night on way south. Great pitch on the river bank. Don\'t follow Sat Nav. Use directions given and it is easy to find. If over 3.5 ton weight restriction on B9 over river bridge in Koblenz so detour to find site.
A lovely campsite by the river. A little difficult to find as experienced by others as well. The toilet facilities were very clean with plenty of hot water. A nice bar and restaurant. Full motorhome facilities.
A nice site, located beside the River Lahn, but not the easiest to find or to enter. Very helpful staff but site does get very busy and site full sign was up whilst we were there. There is an overflow area but it is not ideal. Restaurant was closed when we stayed which was a pity as there are no other facilities in the immediate area. Bus to Koblenz stops a 15 minute walk away. Riverside pitches very nice but wifi almost impossible to receive.
Very helpfull staff who spoke English. bus within easy walking distance af site to Koblenz. Supermarket and town a long walk to site, busy road, noise on other sid of river. Poor light a far end of site where we were located. Good for couple of nights stop to visit Koblenz.
A very crowded claustrophobic site with many permanent pitches. Right by the river but must be subject to flooding in any wet periods. Facilities generally ok and watching river traffic go by is an attraction. We were unhappy at being more or less chased off our pitch at 11am so that an incoming unit could get in. It is fine for an overnight stay but I would not spend any more time there than that.
