We stopped here for 1 night on our journey back to the Eurotunnel. Great price for what was offered. Staff very helpful and offered a riverside pitch. Facilities to the rear of reception are far nicer than those in the main camping area. Food at the cafe bar was excellent value and the barman kept the ice cold beers coming. Will definitely be stopping here again to explore more of the region and to fill up on the much cheaper fuel in Luxembourg.
Site was a bit tired and needed some work on the pitches, but a nice position and very handy for the town, with good bus services and plenty of nice walks.
Stayed here August 2014, it was very wet and the roads were flooded .If you like a busy site then this is for you,not the best pitches weve stayed on very little room between units,Toilets were good as was the swimming pool this site is very popular with the dutch and for them must have felt that they were still in Holland.Fishing on the river very popular ,and just across the river you are in Luxemburg which was very nice.
We regularly stay on this site on our return journey from further South for a couple of nights. We stayed for 2 nights in June and were disappointed to find a lot of \\\'travellers\\\' on site. We will probably not visit again. you are allocated a pitch on arrival and we have usually been ok with this, bit on this occasion we were on a very tight pitch, which seemed unnecessary as there were plenty of empty pitches available.
We spent 4 nights here and were very disappointed. It's a really beautiful location but we had to move from the pitch we were designated because it sloped badly towards the river. Everything kept sliding down! We were able to choose our second site and it was better. The whole site looked tired and neglected and the man on reception was rude and dismissive until my husband addressed the matter with him. It may just have been the end of their season (about 10 days before they closed for winter) but even other campers, incl Germans, told us of other, better campsites to go to in the region. I would recommend a visit to Echternach town on the Luxembourg side which is a lovely, gracious town - and the petrol was 35cents cheaper and it's only across the bridge!
A lovely site in Germany but only a 2 minute walk over the bridge to Echternach in Luxemburg where there are good shops and restaurants. Pitches are good size but could be muddy in wet weather. No noise at night, peaceful and quiet.
We chose this camping site from the previous reviews, we were not disapointed. We wanted to stay for another week, unfortunatly it was booked up. Our children were 14 and 11 and they loved it. The location of Echturnacherbruck is a perfect location to easily visit Bitburg,Trier and Luxembourg (city).
Had a great time, only a 2 minute walk from the campsite across a lovely bridge to the town of Echternach, Luxembourg. The campsite has everyhing apart from a camping shop so take your own Gas, however you can get a small amount from the town. Echternach has plenty and I mean plenty of places to eat and drink. looking to book for longer in 2011....Great!
Voor een jong koppel is niet echt de beste camping. Het toilet vond wij zijn toch wel veroudert en tot wij er waren staan er veel ouder mensen.
