When we checked in we asked for a shaded pitch but were told there weren\'t any and were allocated a pitch. There were some lovely shady pitches but obvisouly not for us!! Shame as it was the height of the Eurpean June 2019 heat wave and very hot. The facilities were very clean, but you couldn\'t adjust the temperature of the water and it came out very hot - not what was needed in a heat wave! The real shame about this site was that there was a lovely swimming pool but the owner wouldn\'t let anyone use it as it only opened 1st July for the summer season - which was in three days time - it was nearly 40°C for goodness sake - but no, noone could use it (by the way it clearly stated that the pool was unmanned and used at own risk when it was open!). The food was good and the owner helpful enough but was just a little bit too familiar / surly to be a great host. This and the lack of shade / use of pool detracted from our stay.
