This is a lovely site, beautifully laid out and in an excellent location for walking and exploring the black forest. Facilities are first class. Bus stops outside the site enable use of your free visitors bus pass. The owners are charming and most helpful. We\'d love to return.
Lovely site, friendly staff, pitch very small and shady, charges extra for electricity over 4 kw, charges for WiFi and reception poor. Good walks direct from site.
In a beautiful location with many walks straight from the site. The waterfalls are also walkable. Terraced site with quite a few permanent pitches. Toilets and showers are heated and outstanding. Electricity at this site is metered. Make sure you ask about the free allocation with your ACSI card and what the price per kwh any excess is.
The GPS coordinates lead to the back entrance main access is 200 m up the road. Terraced campsite good sized pitches some well shaded. Good clean facilities plenty of hot water. Restaurant closes in September but menu and prices looked reasonable. Lots of walking routes accessible direct from site. We arrived during celebration of opening a new route (Mein Muggenbrum) which we walked the following day, approx 4 -5 hours with lots of benches on route so take a good picnic. Site quiet at night. Electric metered locked boxes ACSI rate includes 4 kWh per day, taxes and charges added to the ACSI rate per night. Staff helpful. Konus travel card included with bus stop directly outside campsite. Would need a mountain bike for the bike trails. We would return if revisiting the area.
A great site located in the heart of the Black Forest. We were late arriving (9-30pm) but the owners were there to greet us and make sure we got pitched and settled. A lot of permanent vans on site which is fairly typical on many of the German sites but it didn't detract from the ambience. Great walking from the site and and a short drive to many other places. The Konus card was an unexpected bonus. We will certainly revisit this site.
